Vegetative
The plant is about 5 weeks old now.
This marks the end of the vegetative period, I guess.
There's no clear cut with these autos...
But I think it won't grow much talller with all the pistils forming.
Ferts
I don't know if the genetics themselves caused the maturity or that the plant now fully fills the pot.
Either way, it's the ideal size for the balcony.
The roots now reach every corner of the soil, and I think it's time for a dose of liquid fertilizer.
New Seedlings
I also planted 2 new seeds.
They seem a bit slow, especially one of them.
The compost that I use is not the best medium for starting the plants in.
Maybe I should switch to peat for the early stages...
Quick One
So far the Northern Lights looks stronger than the 2 Quick Ones I grew last year.
It's so vigourous!
The weather was mild to cold.
I grew the Quick Ones in summer.
Both don't really like the heat.
Maybe it's the season, maybe this one seed was really good, maybe the soil is better this year...
Potassium
I want to blast the plants with a high dose of potassium (K) this year.
I'll try woodash and maybe liquid stuff, if I can get it cheap somewhere.
I'll apply a single dose, right when the buds start to swell.
I don't like the woodash, because it has the wrong PH and also because I don't know how much to apply and how long it takes to be bio-available...
Maybe I'll just order proper NPK 2 2 6 or whatever...
I still have 1 week to decide, I guess...
I dislike autos.. but I can see where they would do great on the balcony
For anything outdoor in this climate they are far superior.
Under lamps, or in a warmer, dryer climate, I'd prefer regulars, too.
I am going to try growing an auto outdoor this year. Will be interesting I think.
I love them.
Quality is poorer, yield is much poorer.
But they grow so fast and mature so quickly - so far they just outran all problems.
Sieht hübsch aus! !WEED
Danke!
Finde die garnichtmal so hübsch... eher wie eine Brennnessel.
Der WEED bot ist aus - zu nervig erstmal...
Ich wusste nicht mehr, ob der noch funktioniert. War sozusagen auch ein Test. !BEER geht aber.

That 5 week old plant looks great, a very happy plant.
Sucks you had some trouble with seedlings. I am having some trouble too. Really want to get my outdoor started but seeds keep being bad.
looks so good and healtly :D
After looking at your post, I think I might have messed up! Mine are right around the sme age, but barely a few inches tall and forming pistils :( I'll definitely have to try again if they are budding already lol
!BBH
Are you sure you got autos?
edit:
nvm; checked your post.
Something went wrong. They are about the size of 10-day-old plants.
The strong discoloration of the leaves indicates what's up.
I'd guess you used too much fertilizer - too salty.
Also: While totally ok to transplant autos, it's better to plant them in the big pot from the beginning.
At first I didn't really think anything about the size since I have a couple Photos growing as well, but after seeing your post I realized something was wrong lol.
Im assuming I just kept them inside in those peat pots for way too long, and the light was only about 18 - 24 inches away. I've been told not to transplant, I just didn't think these peat pots would really count.
Also, now that think about it, it makes sense because they spent their entire "stretching" period without having the need to stretch to the light because it was too close. But yea, I'll definitely havr to start these ones over and this time I will be starting them in their forever home!
Looks like raining season has commenced over there or are you watering it? The vege looks fresh with no sign of pest attack.
What will the potassium do to the plant when applied? Is it an alternative to fertilizer?
There is no such thing as rainy season here. Too far from the equator. We have summer and winter, instead. (late spring right now)
And yes, I watered the plants. They are on a balcony.
Potassium is part of pretty much any commercial fertilizer, for pretty much any plant.
For cannabis, it helps with bigger flowers. Cannabis likes unusually high amounts of it.
All right. Good to know👍
