Here is my answer to the @freewritehouse question:
What Direction Do You Want the FreeWriteHouse to Go?
I need to start this topic with the concept of freewrite itself. I think getting more freewriters should be a top priority and I know we can do this.
Background
We have 10 to 30 people on most freewites now. This could easily be higher and should be. The more people we have, the better in every way.
Many people on STEEM struggle to find places to post and freewrite is a great daily opportunity.
Action Ideas
- Ask our poets to search the poetry and songwriting tags (etc) for people who might like to get involved. I am not a poet in any way, but I know we have a lot of them here.
- Fiction writers can search the fiction and story tags.
- Everyone can notice people who are good writers but have few posts. Or even those who post a lot and may want a fresh place to be seen.
- Look for dtubers who post a few times a week and let then know freewrite can help them be more consistent. Many of them struggle to get a post a day uploaded. Freewrite can help them when technical difficulties are in their way.
- @partiko people can post a freewrite daily.
- @esteemapp is a great place for freewriting and you may get a nice vote from them.
- @busy posts can be freewrites.
A special case of our Venezuelan friends and freewriters
- The VZ people should look into @crypto.piotr’s post HERE:
https://steemit.com/charity/@crypto.piotr/santa-and-piotr-visits-venezuela-join-us-today
and get those people into the Spanish freewrite and/or the English one. There are many people from Venezuela that @crypto.piotr recently helped with delegations and in other ways, and you can see them in the comments of that post.
@crypto.piotr just did this big push of help to the people of Venezuela and they can all be freewriting. Let’s not let his efforts go to waste.
Get @latino.romano to rally his troops to help. Not just try to do it himself.
@milrosas
@cefralelo
@larryparra
@oscarina
@jakim7
@teresah
@seifiro
@dranuvar
Get those VZ people in here so they can enjoy the benefits and help us grow.
In Conclusion regarding growing freewrite participation
Make a weekly post of statistics about freewrite activity. Maybe @abh12345 can help in this effort so you don’t have to do a lot of work each week. Give prizes of sbi or upvotes for people who bring a lot of new freewriters in. Or do some other creative idea to encourage us to reach out.
I send this comment to people many times a week now:
This is a great post [non-freewriting steemer], and you are a wonderful writer. Take a look at the daily freewrite prompt post over on @marinewest’s blog. It’s a great way to post when you can’t think of what else to post, and there are a lot of nice people over there who will support you.
If we all do this, freewrite will grow. Today’s struggling minnow might be tomorrow’s dolphin. But they need to post to be successful here.
Encouraging Following!!!!
Somewhere - everywhere - I would like to see a statement asking us all to remember to follow each other's blogs.
Most people - myself included, will follow anyone who seems good. I blow through the freewrite comments sometimes and follow everyone I am not following already. The more followers you have - the bigger the @busy upvote. I am not sure of any other benefits.
I know some people do not like to follow others. After a year and a half here, I still do not know why.
Most people will follow others if reminded.
Tweeting your Freewrites!!!
I have a steeming TwitList with almost 500 steeming tweeps on it now.
https://twitter.com/FitinfunSharon/lists/steemit-friends
Contact me on Twitter and I will get you on this list.
https://twitter.com/FitinfunSharon
I retweet from this list daily. It has been a cold dead world out there, but recently things got better.
@nathanmars is on a big push to get @dtube people tweeting and by some miracle they are getting the tweets out there. We also have son=me other big guys tweeting now.
The goal is to show the wider world of crypto that STEEM is the place to be. The more variety the better, and people are looking from outside STEEM RIGHT NOW.
I will not go into too many details here - but start tweeting your own and other good posts you see throughout the day. This will help STEEM grow.
If you want more infor about twitter. Here is an older post I did to look at or just ask me and I will help you.
Are you on Twitter? Please Help the STEEM Blockchain Make a Big Splash!
There is a big Spanish speaking element out there who tweet and retweet a lot. Just saying, my VZ friends.
If you can remember to tweet your freewrite each time you publish - good things will happen.
Back to your question. In the original post, you give this information:
Current Initiatives:
- Recommend your Favorite Freewrite and Win SBI
- We-Write and win SBI
- Freewrite Favorites
- Recommend Your Favorite Freewrite Poem
- Freewrite Poetry
- Adopt Me!!
- Over 20 Club
- Over 100 Club
Which ones to you want us to continue?
Keep most of them. Drop the two that are least effective or most time consuming for little results.
Keep "Recommend your Favorite Freewrite and Win SBI" since I win so frequently. This is a 10-30 minute task each week. I meet new people, read great posts, and usually win. HELLO Freewriters! Get on this train. Great prizes for little effort, and you help another freewriter too!
You do not mention this effort, but…
Keep going with the people who come to our freewtie posts and remind us to go to the next freewrite each day.
This great and helpful initiative should described and promoted in a weekly post on freewritehouse. The post can mention:
- who is helping
- what they do
- how they do it
- Ask those people to chime in on the comments to give tips and tricks and tell why they do this each day or week.
Then ask for more help. I know you have a few people doing this and there can be more if we are reminded. I like to comment widely, so I might be a candidate to help here.
Which ones would you like to manage?
None. I am at my limit, but will support anything I can if asked. I think a lot of people are like me. We will help, but cannot organize. If we get asked to do something weekly or daily we will do it. If we don’t get asked we will never know it is happening.
There you go, my friend @mariannewest at @freewritehouse. I love freewriting and I am so grateful for the daily opportunity to spout off. With out you, I would never have thought to write any thing for these wonderful prompts:
And my favorite of all time!
Freewrite is one of the best places I post on the STEEM blockchain. May we all freewrite long and prosper.

It is that time of year when the fitness equipment is out and the diet books are being read. I lost "Half My Size" eight years ago by using natural methods, and you can too!
This is Sharon @fitinfun. I am posting:

Muy buenas ideas las que expones aquí... gracias @fitinfun
Wonderful. I hope you get more people to your project!
Hey
I provide @mariannewest with monthly data on the freewrites already, but I'm happy to run some more data off if required - just tell me what you need :)
Thank you so much for the offer! I like the idea of a status report but I am not sure what is all searchable. If I model it a bit on your idea, is it possible to search for interaction between the freewriters? Voting and commenting? And/or to search specific names? So many are using the tag now who are not writing with us...
Posted using Partiko iOS
If you gather a list of names then yes I can apply that to whatever is chosen, that would make the data pull quicker and less stressful for the database too.
If we start there I can have a look at the the above :)
Great!! Going to start working on it!
A google spreadsheet would work for you?
If you get a good list of who is using the tag without joining, that could be something we could use to go to the posts and get them to join. I did not know this was a problem going on. You might have a goldmine there.
Well, for a while, we had a supporter who upvoted everyone who used freewrite as a tag...
And since I started this, some big account also did a freewrite challenge and I am pretty sure told people to use the tag freewrite. We put it on the list LOL
I see. We need more big guys. They are trying to get posts out too.
Haha! She's on it before I got to the reply. You are awesome @abh12345.
Your level lowered and you are now a Red Fish!
Do not miss the last post from @steemitboard:
Congratulations! Your post has been selected as a daily Steemit truffle! It is listed on rank 4 of all contributions awarded today. You can find the TOP DAILY TRUFFLE PICKS HERE.
I upvoted your contribution because to my mind your post is at least 7 SBD worth and should receive 181 votes. It's now up to the lovely Steemit community to make this come true.

Wow! Thank you @trufflepig. I hope you are right!
Fantastic!! I especially love the encourager post idea - something I have been wanting to do more. Maybe I can even find someone to do interviews again. @brisby had done some wonderful interviews in the early days of the Freewritehouse!!
Posted using Partiko iOS
Hi Marianne! Sorry that I'm playing catch up with my responses. Would you like me to restart the interviews again? I know it's been WAY too long but if I can be helpful, I would like to.
I would love it!!! You did such an amazing job!! If your time allows it - it would be more than awesome!!!

Maybe something like "10 questions for our Freewriters"
that could work...
Thank you for your suggestions!!! And I thought the floss my tears prompt was fun too LOL
Yes, that was a winner! Glad to help and I hope this does :)
Great post, somehow I think it is not clear what a freewrite is

haha! That figures! I will look at it and revise.
Dear @fitinfun
Thank you for mentioning me @fitinfun and supporting my efforts.
I hope your FreeWriterHouse project will only grow bigger and stronger :)

Hello, FFun.
I've taken back some SP that I had previously delegated to another Steemer. I had read somewhere that you had received some SP on loan from someone else, in order to kick-start you FnFFood blog.
Since I was earning only peanuts for the previous delegation, I decided to take that back and ... offer it to you and your son. I believe you two might benefit more than the previous delegatee.
The total was 1000, and I'm willing to split that between you and your son. I'll be glad to do that, and for very minimal fee.
Interested?
I am overwhelmed. Yes, I would be so grateful for that @majes.tytyty. I pay about 14%-15% on minnowbooster for delegations. More on the food blog with blockbuster but that will go down in 90 days or so. This would be a true miracle for me and both of our blogs could help more people when we vote.
I'm writing a post to ask people for help right now and will tag you. This is so generous and already before I ask for help - I get some.
Let me know whatever you need to get this started and I am all in.
We will not let you down and will keep posting to help everyone we can.
Thank you so much - Sharon
