Julley Everyone,

A beautiful day out here in the Outskirts of Manali region of Northern Himalayas.

Planning an unknown expedition exploring the place around Hamta Trail. An En-route to the mesmerising Spiti Valley of Himalayas the last Himalayas before Zanskar Range.

IMG_1405.jpeg
Here we begin!

Wondering somewhere around the region beyond A village named Sethan! Just right ahead of Pandu Ropa, The farming lands of the Ancient Pandvas of the Hindu Mythology, Who one used to farm at this place, Which still exists.
IMG_1407.jpeg
We had a plan. which was tough we were on our way to the expedition about exploring the Hamta Valley which was an En-route to the Spiti Valley of Himachal Pradesh but due to the climatic conditions it was a bit hard to attempt the expedition about crossing the Himalayan Ranges as it was the beginning of winter season and at even a shot span of time we might get caught under the heavy snow Storm which even occurs during the sunny days.

IMG_1379.jpeg
So as per our place it was to explore the unexplored places of the Valley and capture each and every moment of the same! As there were a ton of places still untouched and unexplored as to which we were making this attempt of our expedition.

IMG_1403.jpeg
The idea came onto the mind of my brother who once in his previous expedition on the top of the right side of the Mountain which could be seen was the Brighu Lake from which he was trying to navigate the valley on the right was the Hamta Valley that we got to know from the Drone footage that he took.

We were just eagerly waiting to especially this time of the year as the skies are clear but there is a high risk of snowfall which would make this whole place get covered under a thick blanket of snow and would make us stuck for days and days as once here at such an high altitude place the snowfall starts it does not stop for days and days. So it was a risky decision but it would only be possible during these days.

I will be dividing my journey into portions so that you guys can easily connect to the moments of the journey where it started till the end of the Post.

The End of the Road.

IMG_1381.jpeg
It was the place where the road till Sethan Ended. The whole journey from Manali till Sethan was quite adventurous as I have shared it on my previous posts connecting the Mountains on the right side of the Hamta valley to that of the Yoshmite of The United States. The whole road had near about more than 30 Curves and even the whole place had its name by knowing about the curves.

IMG_1382.jpeg
After driving for more than an hour or so from Manali we reached this destination from where we were about to start our expedition.

We followed the pathway which was once to the ancient meadows that the Gad-dis Himalayan Shepard’s once used to explore the place and gaze their Sheep. Though there was another trail which led to the way up to the base camp that we got to know from a local. But we decided to explore the unseen so did we.

By the construction of the road the whole expedition kinda became easy as when the people used to hike all the way from Manali itself it would take more than two days just to reach here as this place. But with the road which was kinda adventurous with countless number of jumps and muddy road with the dry mud and steep and curvy road which it the motion of the car breaks the tyres would just slip out so do the breaks too.

IMG_1383.jpeg

It was the place where we parked our car and Beyond it was the never ending memories.

IMG_1384.jpeg

Just right in front of us were the Yoshmite Mountains of the Himalayas which were more than hundreds of feet.

Packing our hiking gear.

As it was planned we decied to make this expedition for as long as of more than two days. So for that we even kept the supplies of two days extra as nobody knows what happens in the mountains and that too as such a risky time of the winter season where even at the day time the temperature at a sunny afternoon was around 5-6C and at night It would nearly go below minus.
IMG_1385.jpeg

The Backback.

IMG_1386.jpeg

Sleeping Bags along with Hiking Sticks.

IMG_1387.jpeg

Mattresses.

IMG_1389.jpeg

So was the backpack ready along with tents, Food items, Clothing Etc. The weight of the backpack would roughly be around more than 20KG.

Starting Point.

IMG_1388.jpeg
Here we began the first patch of our expedition. Right from the Small Shop kinda store which was closed.

IMG_1392.jpeg

IMG_1393.jpeg
All that we had to do was just just walk by and climb the mountain all the way up through the lush green and yellow meadows of Sethan Entering towards the Hamta Valley.

IMG_1411.jpeg
All of us looked so excited for the expedition as we had planned such and it was the day when we were finally on our way of making it a success.

IMG_1396.jpeg

The sight when I looked Back.

IMG_1398.jpeg
The time it was 2:40 PM in the afternoon and the sunlight which was left for us was of nearly and hour maximum and after that the whole valley would get under the darkness.

IMG_1397.jpeg

IMG_1399.jpeg
It had been more than half an hour when we reached at a place where we saw these bones of wild animals hunting one another in search of food.

IMG_1400.jpeg
Just right in front of us was the Chikka Campsite Mountain which was visible and all that we had to remember at the time of our expedition was that just right after sunset the whole valley gets the total darkness and there is hardly any time left of the dawn.

IMG_1409.jpeg
It was really very peaceful place guys. There was not even a single person that we met tell now neither was it on the Sethan Manali Road. All of our cellular Network and the Network on our mobile phones was not reachable. It was just us and the mountains in front of us.

IMG_1410.jpeg
So thats all for today guys. I hope you liked it.
Thanks for your precious time.🙏
Love from the Himalayas.❤️
