Scene 1: February 13, noon.
Tasha and Martina are in a cold and illuminated hospital room. The first one is lying on the bed, she looks pale, a medicine is running down her veins, the "beep" of the heart monitor is heard in the background. Martina stares at the floor, with her hands resting on her head, she is scared.

A Doctor enters the room, looking at a medical chart.
Doctor: Hello girls. Luckily, you came just in time, before everything got complicated. I have good news and bad news.
Martina (with a worried tone of voice): Tell me everything will be all right, please.
Doctor: The good news is that Tasha is stable, she has responded very well to painkillers and antibiotics, however, we need her to remain hospitalized to monitor her, to continue with enteral nutrition, as the pancreatitis is severe and Tasha is not tolerating any type of food. On the other hand, you will most likely need an operation, Tasha.
Tasha: How long do I have to be hospitalized?
Martina (whispering): Don't worry love, everything will be fine.
Doctor: Right now I can't guarantee how long you will be here, what I can tell you is that you need to stay in the hospital because your case is delicate and we can't allow your health to get worse. Martina, please, if you can come with me to fill out some forms and papers.
Martina: Yes, doctor...
Martina gives Tasha a kiss on the cheek, before leaving the room. Once the door closes, Tasha is left alone and begins to cry.
Scene 2: February 13, at night... In the same hospital room. The city lights are reflected blurred in the window.
Tasha (with tear-filled eyes and hoarse voice): I'm sorry I let you down, I'm sorry I got sick just at this time, I know I promised you we would go on a trip on this special date. Ohh.... we will lose the flight tickets, the lodging, (whimpers) my God, why just now? I just wanted to...
(Martina interrupts her, while stroking her hair): Shh, shut up.... This is not your fault. The important thing now is that you get better, and that we have prepared everything for your operation.
Tasha: But we had everything ready for our trip... You know how much it cost us to save and how much we want to visit the...
Martina: Yes honey, but right now I haven't even thought about that. I just want you to be well, get better and come back home. Now please try to rest...
Tasha: This is going to be the weirdest Valentines day we've ever had together, isn't it?
Martina: You know the most important thing you just said?
Tasha: What?
Martina: Together, it will be another Valentine's Day together, and that's the most important thing for me.
The two of them are immersed in a tight embrace, for a couple of minutes. Their hearts are pounding, this time it's not only because of their strong love, now it's also because of the fear they feel. They both feel overwhelmed by so many doctors, tests and medications. In the middle of the hug, Martina doesn't realize it but Tasha closes her eyes tightly and wrinkles her pale face, her stomach pain has not diminished, rather it has increased...
Scene 3: February 14, early in the morning. Someone knocks on the door of the hospital room, Martina and Tasha wake up startled, but Tasha already knows what it is about.
Tasha: Come in, please.
One of the nurses enters the room, smiling. She holds a large paper bag in her hands, hands it to Martina and winks at Tasha:
Nurse: Happy Valentine's Day, dear Martina! We have a patient who is a little bit stubborn, but you have a great girlfriend.
Martina (looking at Tasha, blushing): What... what is this? I don't understand. Thank you for bringing it, what is it?
The nurse leaves the room smiling. Martina and Tasha are left alone, looking at the large bag. Martina walks over and opens it, inside is a large disposable cup, and what looks like some snacks. There is also a note, Martina reads it:
Since we have lived together, every morning I make coffee and sweeten it with my love for you. This time we won't be able to share it, and I couldn't make it either, but I guarantee that with me, you will never lack this hot sip of coffee in the morning, nor my kisses, nor my hugs. Happy Valentine's Day!

It’s these small things that makes a day special isn’t it! Often we mistake making someone feel special means an expensive trip or a fancy gift, but we forget how important these little things are! Beautifully portrayed!
