#BeerSaturday - Short Circuited & Juiced AF!

in LeoFinancelast month

354 weeks of #beersaturday means we started more than 2 years before any of us had even heard about Covid. Cheers to that!

Being The Blockchain Beerologist definitely has its perks, including but not limited to getting paid to tour breweries and sample new beers! When I am not globetrotting or brewing my own beer, my fridge looks like a colorful mosaic of regional craft beer I enjoy sharing with the #beersaturday alliance of #beer bloggers on #hive.

This week, I am enjoying a couple seasonals from some of the first regional craft breweries I ever came to love.

Pint of the Week

Back to beer this week for the PotW which is generally enjoyed on the town in a social setting. This one is a 2x4 Cream Ale from local brewery Jobsite which I have featured many times throughout the years. What makes a good local pint even better tasting? Enjoying it with friends who helped a local record store with their move to a new location. Locally, Sound Fixation is the place to buy your vinyl and are now across the street from the blockchain marketing company Town Crier Marketing Good music and good pints!

Short Circuit

Before I get going, does anyone remember the movie Short Circuit from the 80s? I remember thinking it was an instant classic when I was young and would love to hear how it has aged by someone who has not seen it.

Back to business. I am pretty sure I have enjoyed every beer I have ever had from Elora Brewing and enjoying this one in the past. A seasonal with all the right words on the can from a brewery I already like is going to almost jump into my basket at the beer store.

Apparently, they are working on their webpage and this link will hopefully contain Short Circuit Hazy IPA when they are done. Some folks would see the sediment floating in this one and not be impressed. I am alright with an unfiltered beer as long as it is not ridiculous. This one does look a little ridiculous but is as smooth and yummy as I remember. A reasonable 6.6 ABV and undocumented IBU with Eclipse, HBC 586 and Vic Secret hops, a unique character from a good brewer.

Juiced AF

Another brewery I have enjoyed many years is Beau's Brewing Company which is between Montreal and Ottawa. Back when I was graduating from bullshit domestic macrobrew into craft beer back when it was called microbrew, Beau's was one of the best. Their Lug Tread Ale were so damn good at parties because I was drinking something different and the bottles were big so they lasted longer!

Juiced AF Hazy IPA is another seasonal I have sampled in years past and was pleased to see it on the shelves again this month. I enjoy a good many New England IPAs and especially the ones with Mosaic hops. This one also uses dry Idaho-7 and Simcoe hops and weighs in at a a solid 6.5% ABV for a serious body and bitterness for a NEIPA. I prefer it to their flagship Full Time IPA

Perhaps my new favourite from them and I will make sure to grab a couple more to enjoy again

The first one is a bit easier than the second but a good life hack. Join me, @detlev , and the other beerologists because there is always room for more beer bloggers at this week's Beer Saturday gathering... https://hive.blog/hive-187719/@detlev/beersaturday-353

This week for #BeerSaturday, I am inviting new friend @duskobgd who blogs about #beer consistently and would be great joining us on #beersaturday! Take a few pictures, tag #beersaturday and raise a glass with us on Hive!

Cheers to our global family of beer-drinkers!!

Johny 5! No disassemble!

Being in a relatively small town somewhat "away" from most things, access to a great selection of craft beers tends to be directly connected to a trip to the city (in this case, Seattle) where you can get pretty much everything under the sun.

Of course, the dilemma there is that there's no drinking out because there's a two hour drive home... but we do bring things home, from time to time.

In general, we're fans of Hefeweizen brews which have the same cloudiness, but is more available around here.

=^..^=

They all look yummy!
I LOVE Hazy IPA but my stomach doesn't agree with it😭
I wonder taking enzyme or probiotic supplements helps...or maybe drink more and the problem go away?🤣

Thank you for the invitation dear @zekepickleman

I'm going to take part in this week's challenge, just to search my fridge and find an interesting craft beer😀

That Juiced AF looks like it will taste nice. It’s my favorite on here

That first one looks right up my alley..
