I felt strong for this second push workout of week 36. Split squats are still a huge challenge. My right leg, the one with the bad knee, is unquestionably the weakest of the two. Still, I am able to accomplish them, My heart rate and breathing go crazy on the squats, whether split or front. I imagine that the split squats are better for me because I am able to make sure the right leg does its fair share. The left knee get a bit of a break though, because I don’t want to do on it then I do the right. I’ve just about worn out of pair of lifting gloves sliding my hands across the bar’s knurls to get in position for chest press and tricep press.
Mapmyride give me 11.28 miles for today’s ride. I was going to pump up my read tire before I left but realized I lost my floor pump. It must have ended up with someone else after our bike-a-thon a few weeks ago. All was well until just about 1/4 mile from home - I was actually on my driveway - when the back tire went flat. I used the tire pump I have on my bicycle to pump the tire after changing out the tube. I will want to get a new floor pump, probably before my next ride. Those little pumps just don’t seem to fill the tires all the way up.

Hey! I created a new team on an app called Charity Miles. They have sponsors who pay 10 cents per mile for cycling and 25 cents per mile for walking or running to the charity you select. I selected the Wounded Warrior Project. My team is @Christians_Care. We now have 21 members on our team and have donated over 6000 miles. I invite you to join me.
I give my YouTube vlogs the main title of "Fitness Over 60." It is my goal to build a community of like-minded riders whose purpose is to get and stay active and fit into their senior years. At 60, I see myself as just entering those years. I am not as fit as I would like to be, but neither am I trying to become a superstar athlete. I am becoming more fit all the time with:
-Regular cycling,
-Elliptical exercises
-Frequent resistance training (#x3bar) and
-Ketogenic/Intermittent Fast eating
are the main elements of my fitness plan.
