A favour that turned into a most pleasant Sunday drive

We planned it for a Sunday which always feels like the day to get out of the house. The favour was to check out Spicers Cloverly Estate outside Montville located in the hinterland above the Sunshine Coast. Our daughter had found it online and she loved the setting so much that maybe it could be 'just the right romantic setting for her wedding.'

Our job was to see if it is as good as the photos in the brochure. "Just look, let me know what you think."

The 34 minutes that it was supposed to take for us to get up the winding range took a lot longer because the GPS failed to talk to us. Eventually we worked it out and found this elusive Estate.

From the moment the long driveway surrounded with nature full of trees and flowing lawns, there was no doubt that this venue was perfectly suited for a romantic wedding. My job was to take the pics.

I have to say the whole venue oozed elegance and charm. It was not possible to dine for lunch as the restaurant, Long Apron was booked out. They did not sell toasted sandwiches in this upmarket restaurant. So we enjoyed a coffee over cake and scones

Whether Spicers Cloverly Estate is going to be the venue or not we had a lovely Sunday exploring. It could only be described as beautiful and sublime as Sundays should be. And it is only fitting to thank @cOff33a and @ace108 for #sublimeSunday and @beautifulSunday because both describe my little outing to a tee.

Cheers

Looks like you are a semi wedding planner.
You got clips in the dashcam to show her the drive in? No? You got to go back again.😎

Hahaha, a part time job as a wedding planner sounds like fun and yes I was taking photos as we drove into this Estate oozing charm and romance. Lunch and a glass of wine sounds very tempting.

Thank you for the re-blogging @cOff33a
