Young ground squirrels in spring

I already miss the spring and summer so much, and I am looking forward to the warmer times of the year. Not only birds come back from their winter habitat in the south but also the cute ground squirrels awake from their winter hibernation sleep. But I fear that I will have to wait till April that this will happen here in Austria. So we will probably need to wait for another 2 Month at least till we can take pictures like these again. But also most pictures of my highly awaited birds for spring will need to wait till spring time here. Spring time and summer is the easiest time to take some pictures of birds. In winter, it is much more difficult because with all the leaves missing on the trees the birds see you coming from far away.

But I also really miss the warm weather. I hate it if every time I leave the house I need to bring a warm and heavy coat with me in order not to get cold. I also feel so much more limited when wearing such a heavy coat only in order not to get cold. Wearing just a T-shirt and a jeans is so much more comfortable. Also my visit at my favorite pastry shop is something I look forward to this spring. It is located in the northern part of Vienna and very close to these animals. After taking pictures of these little guys in the morning it is a welcome place where I can boost my energy for the afternoon.
