Greetings Dear Art Appreciators,
.
Hope you are well.
What a lovely summer it has been.....so very busy. Hope you have had a lovely summer as well.
The painting 'White Tulips' has been compiled from a collection of Bleujay's original photographs to form an interesting composition as well as using an iron planter's rim in a not so ordinary way.
Many artists consider it quite the challenge to paint white subject matter yet some have risen to the challenge and painted many a fine work. John Singer Sargent and Andrew Wyeth are a couple of artists that come to mind. Perhaps you will have an opportunity to give their work a look.
Here's wishing you and yours all the best.....God's best.
.
"But God demonstrated His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died as a substitute for us." Romans 5.8
"For by Grace are you saved through faith and that not from yourselves, it is a gift from God, not of works lest anyone should boast." Ephesians 2.8,9
It is faith alone in Christ alone for salvation.

Thank you for dropping by. ^__^

No doubt painting is great, but my focus was over the details that are given below.
I mean photo resolution, paper size, graphics detail, brush size, etc. 🤭🤭
By the way, it is a very difficult task for me to remember everything.
Greetings @certain ,

You are absolutely right, dear friend @bleujay
There are so many people who have curiosity and keep interest in painting for new ideas.
It is perfect that you are providing details about the painting diagram.
Although I do not publish post related painting but my focus over camera pixel and filter. Sometimes, when I get something interesting sure I like to check that. By the way, thanks, mate, for your kind response.
Regards. 🙏🙏
Hi @bluejay! I hope you're doing well.
Just dropping by to admire your amazing watercolor painting, which I always appreciate. As someone who works on digital artworks, I have high respect for artists like you who create pieces using traditional painting materials like watercolor.
I've used watercolor before (a long time ago) and I found it very challenging to control, as it requires practice and a lot of experience too.
You're right, subjects that are mainly white in color are also extra challenging; I agree with this. But you were able to create your tulips beautifully. Well done 👍
Thanks for sharing your amazing piece 🤩
Greetings @curamax ,
What a thought-full comment....appreciate your kind words.
It was something I had hoped to do for a while now....it can be rather like balancing on a tight rope to paint a white subject indeed. ^__^
Thank you for dropping by.
Cheers, Bleujay
You're welcome and have a great day ahead :)
Painting white subject matter would seem challenging. You did an excellent job though! Nice one 👌
Greetings @leaky20 ,
You are too kind....appreciate your comment!
Kind Regards to you and your good lady, ^__^

Oh wow! I would expect nothing less from you @bleujay - such a beautiful watercolour painting. The colour scheme is really soft and gentle but so very effective. Yes, I can totally see why white is a tricky colour for you artists.
I actually follow an artists form page on Facebook and it's lovely to see my timeline punctuated with the most stunning paintworks, ranging from oil on canvas, watercolour on paper, acrylic on canvas etc.
I do hope you will share more of your painting efforts, you have a real skill there.
Greetings @peaceandmoney ,
You are too kind....Thank you for your complimentary and encouraging words.
Happy to hear you have capacity for art....the expression of art is so individual and can be satisfying like an excellent meal.
Appreciate you dropping by. ^__^
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
I like tulips very much, they bring color back into our lives after a long grey winter and I think your work suceded in capturing their natural beauty. Such a beautiful painting, love the colors!
Greetings @discovereurovelo ,
How very kind of you to drop by with such a lovely comment....thank you. ^__^
Yes...I can see why you like them....as they are so very elegant ..Bleujay never tires of them.
My motivation to paint is for that very reason...to capture their natural beauty...thank you for your kind observation.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
Gorgeous! Love the addition of the planter's rim.
Greetings @owasco ,
Appreciate you dropping by....especially with such kind compliments....thank you!
About the planter's rim.....it is preferrable to be able to have the tension of organic and inorganic in order to provide interest...which you picked up on...Lovely!
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
Lovely and delicate water colour paintings. I could never do water colour painting! I would drown the paper, very difficult to control the paint and water combinations.
Greetings @kaminchan ,
Hope your situation is getting better.
Thank you for dropping by.
Really appreciate your kind compliment and the smiles. ^__^
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
I totally agree when you say that salvation is achieved through faith. In fact. Faith moves mountains. If we have faith in GOD, everything can be achieved, obviously thinking about good works.
Without being a fanatic, I have a lot of faith in GOD. I always get a response from him and I am under his protection. I have NO doubt about this.
I wish you a happy day.
Greetings @lupega ,
What a thoughtful response to the post.
Yes...Christ did not call for us to be fanatics...but to grow in Grace and knowledge of the Word. He has a wonderful plan for each of us...the more we learn from His Word the more we know of His plan for us.
Happy to hear you are a believer in Jesus Christ.
Yes..indeed we are still here because of God's protection and care of us.
Thank you for dropping by. ^__^
Cheers, Bleujay
I have a lot of faith in GOD. Life has not treated me very well, but he is always there to help me and protect me. He puts you in my path and I will follow your advice.
I wish you a happy night and thank you very much again.
Oh wow at first glance, I thought we were looking at some cool AI image with all the texture and detail. This is an original handmade piece and you have shown some of the steps to get there too!
I have never considered how hard it would be to focus on white subject matter, especially water colour, until you mentioned it.
How great is it so be able to enjoy your own photography and draw inspiration from that to create a painting as well?
Fantastic once again.
Greetings @zekepickleman ,
Very kind of you to drop by with this lovely comment.
AI probably already can do it. ^__^
Yes...in traditional watercolour in order to have white, one must leave the white of the paper...and I just now realised in answering your comment that I had not addressed that aspect at all...that is the challenge of it.
Training in the fine arts usually does not allow the students to use any other photography other than their own as subject matter as you are more familiar with the data the subject provides.....of course that cannot always be the case....however it is splendid when it works out in that way, as you noticed.
.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
Good morning again @bleujay! :)
I like the casual lightness bordering on some carelessness in how the watercolor lies on the paper in your work, this is what distinguishes a master from an amateur artist, as a rule, a beginner watercolorist will be timid in brush strokes and will pay more attention to the edges of the sketch. Great job!

Thank you @barski !
You are every bit the artist! From inception to finished piece you've captured the very essence of "white Tulips"
I think you must be at complete peace to paint such delicate subject matter?
Greetings @tamaralovelace ,
Oh...really ..just a minute..let me have a look again at this painting to see what you are talking about.... hehe
That is almost always the goal of painting for me...to capture the essence and exaggerate the elements that I find attractive in the subject.
Interesting you should say ...'at complete peace'....at my core...it is my confidence in God that is who I am...I know He knows best..therefore I am at complete peace. ...and you saw it in the painting....which is an expression of the painter. Interesting...I never connected it. Thank you Tamara. ^__^
Appreciate you dropping by for a cuppa. ^__^
Kindest Regards,
Bleujay
It brought me peace to read the post and view the painting as well :)
Very well done!
I do not paint pictures, but working with white paint is generally rather difficult!
Greetings @zakludick ,
Thank you for dropping by with your kind complimentary comment.
I forgot to mention in the post that the challenge of painting a white subject in traditional watercolour is that white paint is not used...the white you see is the white of the watercolour paper. ^__^
However you are correct...white paint can be tricky.
Kind Regards,
Bleujay
I do miniature painting and to paint white, you need to start by painting grey or a desaturated blue and the build up in lighter colours until you get to White.
Oh...thank you so much....I can see it!
