The last one

It's the final drawing of this year's Inktober challenge! The prompt word for the 31st Inktober drawing is ripe. The inspiration for this drawing came to me while looking out of my window to the apple trees in the garden.

I've been harvesting over the last month the ripe apples from our trees. I'm not the only one who has been picking the apples though, we have a cheeky squirrel in our garden who also enjoys the ripe autumn bounty. While having my cup of coffee the other morning I looked out of the window to see the squirrel disappearing over the fence with a small green apple in its mouth after being chased off the garden by my cat, but don't worry my cat is never fast enough to catch it.

Nice one. So now that the contest is over, how did you like it? Did you like having to draw everyday or was it challenging being on a schedule?

I usually draw everyday anyway, but following set themes is quite hard as some are things I wouldn't normally explore in my work.

Such a delectable drawing as your final Inktober drawing.

I love the feeling of fullness expressed in the roundness of the apples ~ And the way the circles can represent the enjoyment other creatures have been having eating your apples.

I really admire how you have been so regular with your drawings ~ Every single day. Congratulations. You are the one artist who has really inspired me to be prepared to 'give it a go' next year. Thanks so much. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

I always get to around day 15 and think 'what have I started?', but I managed to get to day 31. I was planning to post digital and traditional ink drawings, but found it a bit tricky to fit in completing both each day.

I can really understand that feeling of being in the middle and wondering 'why?' We never know what life will present to us the moment we put our hand up for a 'challenge.' So it's truly a credit to you that you have been so consistent.

Just staying with the one media, plus your experience with DADA has given your drawings so much continuity. Once again Congratulations Ophelia and thank you for the inspiration you have given: Me and I'd imagine many others. ♥︎♥︎⚖️♥︎♥︎

Very nicely done my friend. I always enjoy your inktobers. @opheliafu
