Good afternoon beer lovers!

We're still on lockdown but there is always a way to get our hands on some quality cerveza if you know where to look. Today I'd like to share this lovely stout with hints of chocolate and coffee due to the slightly more aromatic malt used in the brewing process; Güin is the name (pronounced "Ween") it comes from the highlands of Guatemala.

The story of Güin is an urban legend about a mayan priest who made a pact with a demon in order to be able to transform into different animals. The demon tells him he will grant his wish if he beats him in a duel. The man accepts, and after a rather brief tussle, the spirit is defeated... or is he?
A cold wind blows out the candles and a pair of glowing canine eyes can be seen through the smoke. The dark shadow disappears into the night and the priest is never to be seen again.
Only stories are heard about a dark figure killing livestock and scaring the village people in the night. They named it... Güin.

Today, this dark figure came into my home at 6.66 degrees Celsius and made its way into my being. I can't say I didn't enjoy it.

Oh yes, There was also anchovies pizza involved. Less scary but equally delicious. This amazing treat was made by our next door neighbors who used the blood of a goat instead of tomato sauce.

I wonder if @zekepickleman has tried Güin. Love the story behind the beer! The pizza looks fantastic. Anchoives used to be my favourite topping. But I'm a vegetarian now, so I don't think the goats blood sauce would work for me either! Have a fantastic Sunday! :)

Whoa! I have not! I think I should!

They ship to my neck of the woods?
