I did say this many times but this is a good day to mention it again - Coin Market Cap or just Market Cap in crypto means NOTHING!
It can be easily manipulated and it cannot be any way to count on things.
I can create right now a token with trillion coins, get it to my friends exchange and do 1 sale - 1 coin for 1 BTC.
I will get the coin to the tops right away.
Some guys did a similar thing for fun (withotu burning exchange) lately - Paccoin.
Who knows maybe it works and stays good like old coin joke.. DOGE? :)

So DASH is out but it means nothing. TRX/ADA just has loads of coins and they pumped so other coins got kicked.
IMHO anon coins and DASH alike will raise this year so watch for grabbing EXCL, HUSH, XMR, XVG, XZC, ZCL, ZEC and alikes right now.
Where to trade those ?
Look at Bittrex, Cryptopia and OpenLedger. A few are on Binance that is closed now and none is on KuCoin yet.

Great post but I think the price are a bit more realistic now they have de listed those Krazy Korean exchanges. But I always check the exchanges directly when I want a true price.

I always consider market cap to be a falicy. It is supposed to tell you the value of all coins in circulation but takes no account of those fee locked or otherwise burned (although it could be argued that the price already accounts for this).
More importantly, the minute you start to sell some, the price will decrease, so the total number of coins would never be sold for current price.
Having said that, there is not really any better measure!

Doge has turned out to be a very useful coin when transaction the money from one exchange to others because it has less fee and less transaction time.
I think Dash will eventually settle in the top 5. I think SmartCash looks promising as well!

I'm still waiting for Kucoin to list more cryptos. They have been very slow with this process. At least they should have top 20 in their exchange.

Dash is an awesome project with a good team behind it. It will come back into the Top 10 once the shift to quality continues. Just like Ethereum is back in the number 2 spot, Dash (and Litecoin) will come back to be the blue chips of the Cryptos.

It seems like we are in alt coin cycle right now, none of these coins have any news or real value behind them they are just being pumped for profits right now. A big game to those loaded in crypto at the moment you know that top 1% like always. 2-3 more months bitcoin will be 20 k +

Honestly, I used to look at CMC many times daily, but now I only check it from time-to-time, and not daily. I'm only in some (7) cryptocurrencies, not counting Steem, and I just research whatever I'm consider investing in, and then watch how it's doing. If the price is good, most likely the market cap. is too.
So far, everything has been working great for me. In this Wild West of cryptos though, you could almost randomly pick some coins/tokens out of about the top (50), and probably have done fairly well for yourself. I suspect that'll change over time, however. As we see more-and-more coins/tokens start to disappear, I believe people will begin to get a lot more cautious on what they invest in.
(I didn't know that about Paccoin. That's very interesting. Mmm....)

Well. Bitcoin and crypto currencies got somehow 'out of control'. Its not the technology, the blockchain idea, behind it that draws peoples intetests. People see that lots if money can be done with it in no time.
