RE: Huge XR Token Discount for Steemians with 1 STEEM = $1.50 worth XR with STEEM / BTC / ETH

in #blockchain5 years ago

Hi @gofindxr, I've seen your project however I'm trying to grasp the idea of XR and the big Why.

  • I don't really understand why would ppl pay for advertising space in your virtual world
  • why would "land owners" stick around in the virtual world
  • why would consumers be going to your virtual world in the first place.

Also instead of investment with steem, would you open up to the possibility of us staking Steem power in your acct instead and earning XR.

hi,
thanks for the questions. XR tokens have 2 purposes - 1) Staking 2) Accessing XR apps

Location based advertisements and payments is a multi - billion dollar industry. Eg a mall may pay for ads around their stores. Burger King may have a special lunch offer. AR ads are by location and thats our main focus in the beginning for advertisements. Although we will also support VR ads in future which are not location based.

XR Land owners get a revenue share from advertisements or payments within 25 miles of their staked geolocation location (if they hold less than 5000 XR). And they get a revenue share from ads or payments on any geo location on network if they hold more than 5000 XR.

Consumers will go for accessing and using location-based apps that we are building - games, social media, reviews, shopping, ride share etc. We are incubating a few dapps on our own and building the SDK so anyone can build these apps incorporating geolocation, XR and reward sharing. Many features within these apps incorporate payments or purchases involving XRs (a % of which goes to stakers as explained above).

We do have a delegation program where we share 70% of curation rewards and you get some free XR for delegating for more than 6 months. We have covered that on another post https://steemit.com/ico/@oracle-d/delegate-swap-steem-for-gofindxr-land-tokens-that-earn-you-advertising-revenue
