First look at The Sovereign comic!

How’s it going, Hive? Big, big day here in the life of @kommienezuspadt. Last night, just before going to bed, I received an update notification on my Tesla Model Y. It was for version 2022.20.17. As many of you know, I’ve been waiting since December of 2021 for FSD [full self driving]. The process involves driving at a really high safety score rating […within the app], consistently, to eventually get invited in to the beta. This was it! Once I realized what I had, I opted in and have been all over Minneapolis with almost flawless autonomy. There will be more of this to explain, but I’m too excited not to share.

Tonight, I’m sharing a first look at the finished artwork for the Ship of Theseus comic I’ve been working on for weeks for the EOS zine, Immutable Realms, I’m producing. This work was funded via Pomelo Grants and a grant from the ENF. Much of the ideas within the pages of this zine have been ideas I’ve come up with while riffing with @mada and @lovejoy. My North Star, and in many ways, my purpose in blockchain is to try and convey the complicated narratives in the technology and governance, in to relatable fiction and comics.

For those that aren’t familiar, the Ship of Theseus is a thought experiment about a ship that was built and over generations, as the boards begin to rot and weather, they’re replaced. The question is, when does the ship coming a different ship. At what point in a plank replaced that it is something new entirely? EOS’s story reflects a lot of the survival of Hive and as a DPOS loyalist, there is a captivating saga of these chains that’ve overcome corruption and adversity to survive and even prosper. As a story teller, it’s wonderful inspiration.

Tomorrow is EOS’s Independence Day. The day that the BP’s went go/no go and launched the chain. It’ll be apt for me to share this artwork on Twitter with an update about Immutable Realms on the @mirrorpool blog. This is when I’m in my natural habitat. Just being able to do high quality art and shape creative expressions of the things we all know and love about the space.
