The Covid Prophesy

People didn't evolve to see the world as it is. We instead evolved to see only symbols of what is. These symbols aren't mere simplifications. They're references to a world we're unable to directly perceive, in much the same way as the icons on a computer screen refer to unseen processes occurring within the machinery. Here's a Ted Talk about it.

At the same time, consciousness itself defies scientific explanation. Some think it's an emergent property of biology. Others think it's supernatural in some sense. My views are closer to the latter. I think physical reality is made of consciousness at some basic level that we can't detect. So the reality we're unable to directly perceive might be consciousness beyond the scope of our understanding.

I'm on day 8 of quarantine protocols at my house initiated by a roommate getting covid. Thanks to a mail-in test, I've just learned tonight that I tested positive for covid 3 days ago. The whole time I've felt perfectly fine and was sure I didn't have it. Turns out I did. So I'll be quarantined myself for three more days and continuing to wear a mask in my house for probably 5 more days after that.

Quarantine seems like an appropriate time to speculate on the nature of consciousness. Today, I listened to a podcast revealing an anonymous person's prophesy. Apparently, covid was created by the forces of evil to slow humanity's spiritual ascension. Also, the vaccine contains substances that block spiritual connections. Fortunately, if all of the lightworkers do their part to shepherd us through this dark time, it will be revealed that extraterrestrials are all around us, and some people may develop magical powers.

I'm not sure I believe all of that. But I find it interesting that someone believes it. If you gloss over specifics, a large number of people might believe something similar. Maybe there really are higher beings in other dimensions helping us on our way. Maybe amazing revelations about UFOs are on the horizon.

I would like for it to be true that there are friendly aliens doing their best to help us evolve. And I for sure believe that there are forces beyond our comprehension acting upon the world. But the mythology developed by this prophesy doesn't track with how I imagine these forces operate. And the rest of the mythology seems as divisive as it is hopeful.

This is really interesting. Really liked reading it. In your piece, you describe a group of people I know who live right at a forest in tents and believe in these light workers and aliens as well and talk about this magic. I visit them and I must say that the places they choose are magical.

Right on. I spent my younger years traveling and living in tents. Good times!
