Dear Speaker of Knesset
Israel’s own data (below) shows that the nCOV19 morbidity in Israel is 0.3% - much lower than Wuhan, Italy or Spain and no worse than seasonal flu (0.1 - 0.5% morbidity)
Israel’s serious cases are only 1.4% and medium only 2.1%. This only 3.5% of cases requiring hospitalisation. Much lower than the 15-20% rates that overwhelmed Wuhan and Italy’s health system.
Israel has a much younger and healthier population.
Its time to stop the hysteria, infringements of basic civil rights and destruction of Israel’s economy.
Lockdowns will kill more from suicides, domestic violence and neglect that they will save.
Think of parents of young kids (like me) who are going crazy not being able to take the kids out of the house.
Think of small business owners like the owners of our daughter’s gan, who have lost their parnassa and can’t put food on the table.
Think of the parents of special needs kids who need expert care and fresh air and become violent when caged in at home.
Think of the teenagers contemplating suicide because of an inability to see their friends.
Think of the risk to Israel’s existence caused by destroying the economy when we are surrounded by enemies.
Please stop sacrificing our children’s future to global hysteria and fears of mass deaths and overloaded health systems that are unfounded in Israel’s case.
Remember that Italy has 17,000 annual flu deaths and we have just 126.

The last time I checked the stats in the UK, there have been 0 deaths in the 0-10 age range, and 1 (underlying heath problems) in the 11-20 bracket. The virus does tend to affect the elderly and the already weak, and it makes sense for each country to assess their demographics individually.
I hope the main man over there sees sense because the financial cost to many in due to the (reasonable but tough) restrictions in 'older' Europe are going to weigh for years to come.
