LAHORE: Bismillah Marouf has been announced to be the captain of the national women's cricket team until the World T20 in Australia next year.
Bismah Maroof says it is an honor to lead the national team, ICC will try to do the best in the Women's World T20. Iqbal Imam has been appointed head coach. Iqbal Imam also expressed happiness over being the head coach of the national women's team and said that we have talented cricketers, will try to get the best results.
Chief Executive PCB Waseem Khan is hopeful that the national women's team will be moving towards further development, Chief Selector Women's Team Uroj Mumtaz said that Bismillah is well-known as an experienced cricketer and captain. On the other hand, Pakistan also announced the schedule of the series against the England Women's Cricket Team. The series will consist of three ODIs and three T20 matches.
The series between Pakistan and England women's teams will be played in Malaysia, ODIs will be played on December 9, December 12 and December 14. One-day matches are part of the ICC Women's Championship, three T20 matches will be played on December 17, 19 and 20.
