I want to share a moment. Something I will celebrate and remember a long time from now. The FIO Protocol token was listed early this morning on Binance, the largest cryptocurrency trading platform on the planet. I worked with this team as a consultant for over a year and was then offered the position of Managing Director for the Cayman non-profit in December of 2019.

It’s been one of the biggest challenges of my career so far. Stretching my abilities, my will, and my belief about the future of the cryptocurrency industry I’ve been involved in for over seven and a half years. I’ve always known this stuff was too hard and confusing for most people to use while at the same time believing it is inevitable the world will someday use it. FIO is the answer to making cryptocurrency easier and though it’s been challenging to get wallets integrating, gain financial supporters, and weave a story of the future which, to many, seems too far away to take seriously today (global mass adoption of cryptocurrency)... through all this, a Covid-19 pandemic, global lockdown, and economic collapse, here we are. In the first day of trading on Binance, combined with Bitmax, there’s over $30M in trading volume. The token could have been listed to the sound of crickets and nobody caring. Instead, we have real interest and that, to me, is what building technology is all about. Do people care becuase it will somehow improve their lives? I think we have a yes.

Now we continue to build and bring this fractured, tribalistic industry together with a consistent, easy, secure, decentralized, self-sovereign user experience. There’s a long road to go and the future is still very uncertain, but today is a win. It started with a bunch of calls and messages waking me up at 4am because none of us knew exactly when or if this would happen. It’s been a thrill ride of a day ever since.
