In the current tough cryptocurrency market conditions, I have shifted my main focus to invest for the long haul in the most promising ICOs. I'm investing in very high quality projects that have a highly talented development team and outstanding management.
Currently the most number of ICO's are on the Ethereum Platform.
Ethereum became the largest weight of my portfolio in December 2017, as I wanted to participate in its massive range of promising ICO's. It will probably remain my largest portfolio % until another major smart coin massively outperforms Ethereum which is probably inevitable as newer more advanced technology is been developed.
Similar to the reason why Bitcoin's dominance is decreasing.
Neo has been a market darling, it is newer, faster and technologically more advanced than Ethereum.
All the ICO's done on NEO platform must all be approved by NEO. It's like how all the apps on itunes must be approved by Apple. NEO's ICOs are in huge demand and that demand should continue.
Stellar recently had an incredible run up, as more ICO's are being done on the Stellar platform its futures looks bright.
Developers are starting to favour Stellar for its much faster speed and lower transaction fees.
Hyped as the Ethereum killer, this new coin has been trading on exchanges for months, and its ICO is still ongoing.
If they achieve what they set out to achieve, it may only be a matter of time before it overtakes Ethereum in market cap.
It should be noted that Ethereum is not even close to complete and they could continue to stay ahead of the game and fix its scalability issues.
It's a good idea to be invested in coins that are expected to continually make good announcements in the development of its coin and partnerships with major companies.

Also XRP - smart contracts, banking uptake.
Cardano - latest technology, intelligent smart contract technology.

XLM pays out inflation just for holding, and NEO pays out GAS just for holding - worth knowing!!

NEO is best
NEO has actually been my favourite. Their ICOs are very high quality and in such high demand that they are continually been sold out very quickly!
How about privacy coins? don't you think it will be much more significant (especially to those who do illegal activities :P) due to the fact that there are a lot of regulations to be implemented by different governments?
Monero, Dash and Zcash more stable established privacy coins. As an investment, XSPEC and PIVX would be my current picks.
All of these are looking good. Ethereum remains my number one pick. I can definitely see it at 5.000$ by the end of 2018.
ETH seems promising with the increasing number of new ETH-based tokens and smart contract use.
ETH, Stellar, NEO are coins I'm holding, I believe in their growth in this year so much
