Of course, PIVX can achieve a higher TPS count because it runs on a POS consensus algoritm. Bitcoin's low TPS on main chain is a delibrate security choice by Satoshi Nakamoto. That being said, bitcoin's lack of ZK proof feature is a sore pain point for privacy nuts all over the world. Sending trx over tye PIVX does make it easier to hide your identity being that it runs on the Zerocoin protocol.

I wont say which coin is definitively better,the free market will determine that on the long run.
