Repurpose and Reuse

in #dapplr4 years ago

Although I buy in jars for some of my regular fare at the market, all my preserves and pickles and now the soup I sell at the market are in repurposed jars. They are all collected by kind souls who deliver them to my stand at the market. Or to The Sandbag House. As happened on Friday.

It's extra special when some of "my" jars return. And extra, extra special when it includes a "refill" order.

Until next time, be well

Thank you @fionasfavourites, for using the CO2 Compensation Coin (COCO) to reduce your CO2 footprint.

Now I want to try some of the homemade marmalade 😍
That's pretty cool that people order refills 👍

Ah, thank you. If you are ever in South Africa, head our way - good wine. And marmalade homemade in my McGregor kitchen! 🙏🤗

South Africa is on my bucket list, so I'll definitely keep that in mind 😊
I vaguely remember Goede Hoop wine being very popular here a long time ago, should ask my dad or my wife if South African wine is still being imported to Suriname.

Do! You'd be most welcome. It's quite possible. I will try to find out, too - tomorrow I shall try to remember to look at the Wines of South Africa website.

Wow thanks @fionasfavourites! It is highly appreciated!

I must confess to having a weakness for a pretty glass bottle so will keep all those, remove the labels, some easy some painfully difficult and feel very satisfied when it's filled with something homemade!
I like your labels Fiona, how I'd love a bottle of that peach chutney & marmalade, the colours tell me they're very good indeed!

Thank you Lizelle - I'm told that all are very good. What tells me? I have regular customers! I have to make marmalade until it comes out of my ears while citrus is in season. Those were the last two jars of peach and apricot (both fresh) chutney until summer. Very few of those jars will be turfed. I've already sorted out some - I like to use the same or similar sizes for a "line". I have some pickles planned.... Watch this space as they say... 😄

Oh, and if you head this way: place your order.....or we can do a swop. I'm sure you have some equally delicious preserves on your shelves...
