I don't mind about the transaction fees... bitcoin is in my cold storage - not much, but it will stay there. There are other coins which are interesting. Especially companys with huge partnerships and a bright future in the blockchain industry

You don't mind it because you don't use it as a currency, which it no longer (so far at least) is. Even Ripple is more of a cryptocurrency as of right now, because it can be transfered as payment with low fees.
