Earlier today a major update was applied to Hive-Roller.com earlier today bringing the version number to v0.7.8 and bringing with it a few big changes, with the biggest being the addition of a referral system. Users will now be able to share their referral link wherever they wish in order to gain an incredibly generous 1% of the referred users loses for life. On top of referrals now being a thing the Hive Keychain login method has been fixed, as it was previously having issues and didn't allow users that had set a text password to use the extension to log in. A small number of GUI fixes and modifications to the trollbox also made it into this patch, and prior user bets being populated on login temporarily disabled until function can be rewritten do to a bug found that caused site instability when users with a large number of bet logged in.

v0.7.8 Patch Notes

- Fixed improper implementation of keychain, both ways of logging in now work even if text password is created first
- Fixed improper calculation of site commission fees on investors profit
- Implemented referral system based on "?r=" URL parameter. Example URL: Hive-Roller.com/?r=username (Case Sensitive)
- Fixed bug that caused rainbot payouts to not be investable after being awarded
- Replaced mentions of STEEM in page with HIVE, mainly in hints/info hover title data
- Disabled user bet loading on login, re-enabled high roller bet loading on login (Needs rewritten for large bet arrays)
- Simplified trollbox UID# emojis for soon allowing users to select it as they wish
- Fixed a calculation error on investment commission fees paid to the site when players lose
- Minor GUI fixes and tweaks here and there to make things pretty
- Added banner at top of trollbox, will be used to alert of rules
- Youtube.com links now embed into the chat as playable videos
- Fixed errors when using the percentage buttons where GUI didn't update
- Dialed down the rainbot payouts average a bit in order to make it more sustainable

Would like to thank everyone who has come to check out the site and participated in alpha testing. While the site is far from perfect slowly but surely development is moving forwards and the addition of referral links is a huge step towards getting the site ready for a full version 1.0 launch. The proper implementation of the keychain logins was a good step forward as well. Took a bit of thinking and research in order to fix the previous implementation of the logins but now it's set up to work along side the classic login style.

As it sits for the next patch the main focus will be getting the mobile version done. Originally it was planned to release it in this patch however it never made it to a point where it was ready to go live. Apologies for not getting mobile version rendering done on this patch, promise it will be included in the next update alongside other site improvements. Can't wait to see you all on the site!

Note to New Users:

Please register using your HIVE name in all lowercase using the register button before attempting to login using Keychain! Will try and patch the need to do this today but found it was causing bugs after v0.7.8 was released. Sorry for any inconvenience caused by this.. Working on a fix here ASAP.
