When I was about 10 years old, my Mum, Dad and brother went to bed.
I stayed downstairs to watch some TV, I used to watch TV quietly as I didn't want to wake anyone up, or I'd be in trouble.
I was there keeping warm, as when Dad goes to bed, he turns the heating off, to come back on about 6:00 in the morning.
I heard a funny click noise, so I decided to look up towards the front room window, and on the other side of the glass is the kitchen.
I heard a louder tap this time, I looked up quicker, and I froze (I'm getting goosebumps just typing this). I could make out a face, high up, in between the hanging pots and pans. It wasn't a normal face, it stared at me, and I had to try and keep an eye on it, without looking at it. I was scared that if I stared at it, it would do something. I froze for a while when it all of a sudden it disappeared.
Not knowing where this face went, I thought I was imagining things and laughed to myself. Thinking I was going crazy.
A few minutes later I looked up, and there was a big black shadow, walking through our house. from one wall to the other. When it disappeared had to get out of there and ran to bed, and hide under the covers (I felt safe under the covers for some reason).
The next day, I kinda dropped into a convo to my mum, that I think I saw something, expecting her to laugh at me, but she froze and went pale. She said to me, "I thought I was going crazy, I have seen that black shadow many times. She never saw the face thou.
But this wasn't the last time I saw something strange, I can write many more true stories like this if anyone is interested.
