Golem Overlord Update - Faith, Penalty Rework, and Future Roadmap
Here's an outline of the latest updates and changes to the game:
Faith and Penalty Rework
- The penalty calculations for above 5000 rating have been changed and can now go up to 90% if your target has less than 15% of your rating (excludes rep burn).
- The minimum steal calculation has been modified to
max_steal * (0.1 + (attack_faith - defender_faith)/100.0)(the multiplier can't go below 2.5%). - Maximum steal has been changed to
attack_faith / ((attack_faith + (defender_faith)) * 2). - Attack protection changed to 5/15 minutes on loss/win.
Developer's Health
On a personal note, I've been dealing with Multi-Level Herniated Discs and have been on pain medication for nearly two weeks. Thankfully, I'm gradually getting better and won't need surgery. I'll be back full-time starting next week.

Leaderboard Recalibration: Enhancements will include the introduction of power and fortification maluses based on rating differences and adjustments to faith and fort buff mechanics to provide protection to players who have been attacked frequently.
Referral System 1.0: The system will reward the referring user with 0.5% of the burned amount by their referrals, possibly in the form of soulbound PART. The rewards will be capped by the referring account's claims.
Guilds 0.75: This update will include the implementation of guild contributions, upgrades to bunker levels, and allowing for increased member counts.
Guilds 1.0: We will introduce bunker rooms (also known as buildings), implement room management features.
NFTs 0.1: Our own Hive NFT system will be introduced, including an NFT marketplace, avatar NFTs, and the first tech NFTs.
NFTs 0.5: This update will introduce Golem NFTs, as well as the mechanisms for summoning and upgrading Golems.
NFTs 0.75: We'll add Golem PvE (Player vs Environment) interactions to the game.
NFTs 1.0: The ultimate goal of this series of updates is the introduction of Golem PvP (Player vs Player) interactions to Golem Overlord.

I appreciate the hard work. I am taking a step back from the game now though. The whole Scavenger Golumns thing has made it pointless to keep playing. Every claim I end up having to spend quite a bit of it to get scavengers back to stay at enough Golems where I don't have to wait 2 days for a full bank. The game as it stands right now seems like you have to keep spending hive, to stay competitive and its not sustainable. I could of course just be doing it all wrong, and others have sorted it out, but its just how I see things and how the game plays for me currently.
I am keeping my golems quite low and invest in power and faith. Works pretty well for me.
