182 days have passed since our BUDS staking program was launched and we consider is time to give it a look and see how well or bad it is performing under the actual conditions of the market.

Remember BUDS is the central token of all the Hashkings ecosystem of games and so is used to reward all our products to create incentives for our players, so is really important for HK that it becomes a strong token.

An important thing we need to consider when we talk about the BUDS staking is that is not inflationary, this means BUDS used as base rewards are not minted but they are bought from the market in daily basis using all the HIVE that's spent in joints, forge, shared market fee and of course all the HIVE from our HP Delegation system

We're also just analyzing the base rewards of the staking, we're not taking in consideration the different layer of extra rewards that includes exp tokens, forge tokens, BUDS, avatar packs that can increase your APR crazily!

The Moment Of The Truth

Yep! BUDS base rewards have offered a NET earning of 35.96% in HIVE in 182 days so far!

Let's see how we got this number and why is a good signal for the ecosystem:

1. BUDS staking started on April 13th with a ratio of BUDS/BUDSX of 0.001174978633 and a price per BUDS of 0.00025575 HIVE
2. BUDS staking today (October 12th) have a ratio of BUDS/BUDSX of 0.001650097557 and a price per BUDS of 0.00024429 HIVE

This means that the staking has given away 40.44% of BUDS rewards in 182 days, but the price in HIVE has fallen -4.48% since that, so that give us a NET earning of 35.96% so far overperforming the traditional staking system in which rewards are backed with new emission which ultimately leads to inflation and a net loss at the end as it drowns the price of the tokens.

¿Why Is This Important?

Tokenomics are really important for blockchain games and specially to Hashkings which is based in a free market philosophy.

Basically we can say that BUDS are a thermometer of our ecosystem, the higher the price of the BUDS, the higher the incentives that player have to interact with the ecosystem in its totality. Also we have witnessed that the last months have been really wild for Hashkings, for HIVE, for the crypto sphere and the world, but despite of that BUDS have offered a net earning in HIVE for its stakers and so offering economic stability which is really important for both players and developers, the confidence the HK players have with holding and staking BUDS is also a strong signal of the healthy of our token.

Around 44% of the circulating BUDS supply is staked, and the fact we offer a fully liquid system show players are in the long term for BUDS.
