The rewards for this post are set to 100% beneficiary going to the @hbdstabilizer account.

Benefits of @hbdstabilizer

  • The @hbdstabilizer account buys HIVE on the open market with HBD when HBD is above $1.00 USD.
    • This puts sell pressure on HBD (when HBD is above $1.00), which helps stabilize the price of HBD.
    • This puts buy pressure on HIVE, which helps the price of HIVE go up.
  • With the current proposal amounts from the DAO and HDB estimated at $2.00, the @hbdstabilizer account has been buying over $30,000/day worth of HIVE by selling over $30,000/day worth of HBD.
  • When HBD is above $1.00, the @hbdstabilizer is actually returning a profit back to the DAO on top of returning 100% of the funds that are paid to it. In an example scenario where HBD is trading at $2.00, @hbdstabilizer would be sending over $10,000 USD profit per day back into the DAO fund.

FAQ

  • How often will these posts be created?
    • 10 posts/comments are being created per day. This is allow stakeholders to choose how much or how little of their voting power to direct towards the @hbdstabilizer effort.
    • A majority of the posts will be created as comments instead of root level posts to reduce the amount of noise on the trending page.
  • Why can't this be funded entirely from the DAO?
    • The existing proposals have maxed out the amount that can be received from the DAO without taking away funds from other proposals. The funds from these daily posts will add to the funds that are provided by the DAO proposals.
  • What happens to the HP that is sent to the the @hbdstabilizer account?
    • It is powered down and sent to the DAO.
  • Will the amount generated by these posts even make a difference?
    • Every amount added to the @hbdstabilizer fund will generate additional buy pressure for HIVE and sell pressure for HBD (when the price of HBD is > $1.00).
  • Aren't these posts taking rewards away from content creators?
    • The rewards pool is a community governed fund, and it is up to stakeholders to collectively decide how to allocate those funds by voting on the posts that they feel add the most value to the platform. If the stakeholders choose to vote for funding @hbdstabilizer with some of the rewards pool, it is entirely within their right to do so.
    • If the price of HIVE goes up, the amount of rewards in the rewards pool increases. That would mean more rewards to pay to content creators!
  • Why do we need to see these posts on trending?
    • The @hbdstabilizer fund is adding value to the Hive platform. Existing and potentially new stakeholders who are interested in the platform may find value in seeing it there.

Witness Voting

I strongly encourage all HP holders to participate in Hive's Proof-of-Stake governance model. This means either taking an active role in voting for the witnesses you think are doing the best job or delegating your witness voting power to someone you trust by setting them as your voting proxy.

You can vote on witnesses here:

Fuck you and everything you are.

@timcliff, I just want you to know I'm going to sell everything I have on this platform because of this stupid concept. Have fun stabilizing your fucking shit coin and ruining the rewards pool.

You are welcome to do whatever you want with your stake. I would be curious to hear what your definition of "ruining" is. The idea is that the mechanism helps push the price of HIVE in the upwards direction, which actually helps to provide more rewards to content producers. The posts themselves are only taking a percentage of the total rewards pool. There is still quite a bit for content producers.

Laissez-faire AKA hands off, keep your dirty greedy fingers the fuck out of the reward pool, you have an idea great, the rest of us don't take it from others shares.

The rewards pool is a community directed fund. It is 100% up to the stakeholders to decide what to spend it on.

So are you telling me I actually need to show you the small circle of users who support your decision, I bet there is less than 10 admin voting for these posts with their auto voters following them.

We can start with @smooth and go down the list from there influence wise with a deep cross analysis of account affiliation for every vote you have. It's a minority and you are the Same dip shit who suggested we make a deal with Justin Sun, I'm not sure why anyone would trust you.

I realize this is a controversial effort, and there are a large number of users who are against it. Everyone has the right to use their stake however they want though, and there are several large stakeholders that I am in direct communication with who support the effort. I can't control people's auto voting, but users are allowed to use their stake that way if they wish.

I'm not sure what trust has to do with this. 100% of the funds are being directed back into the DAO. It is 100% verifiable on the blockchain. The only reason I am doing/supporting this is because I believe it is one of the best things we can do with the reward pool funds to increase the value of HIVE.

I was against freezing Justin Sun's stake. I did support blocking his account from voting for witnesses because of the security risk it posed to the chain, but I did not believe it was right for witnesses to freeze anybody's assets. That is still my position today. I have always believed that the best solution was for the two parties to try and work things out, and if that was not possible, then to go their separate ways (i.e. fork).

OK sure! you have my support

Thanks for your informetion.

por favor ayudenme a crecer viendo mis post, confio en uds

Me parece muy buena información. esperemos que todo siga fluyendo para mejorar la plataforma.

Why it is bad if HBD price goes up. That will be benefiting to content creators as they will get high payout in terms of HBD value.

I will checkout. Thanks. I am returning to platform after big gap so trying to get the idea what is happening around.

There has been a lot of discussion about this in other threads.. The short version is authors will get paid more if HIVE goes up too. The original design of the two currencies was for HBD to be a controlled stable currency and HIVE to be driven by market forces. The witnesses and stakeholders who are supporting this effort would like to see HBD stable and HIVE go way up.

There is more info on HBD in this post as well. It was written back when it was called "SBD" but all of the logic and economic principles still apply.

Thanks for the explanation and yes I understand it now. Basically the platform will get more popular if hive price goes up and HBD should be used as fiat just like we use USDt in bitcoin

Yeah. There's so much more to this place than simply 'post and earn'. My account is more like a business, since there's money involved. A stable coin is needed here. I wanted to sell 'units' a long time ago, long before NFT was even a thing. At one point I did sell one unit, digital art, for ten bucks that was worth eighty one day and five the next, in a sense. Can't do business like that. Pricing NFT's in Hive means one day I'm asking too much, the next day I'm ripping myself off. Can't do business like that. Can't fill the shelves then continuously adjust prices day to day. Hopefully this gets sorted out. There's a lot of potential in a stable coin combined with a social setting/readily available market.

I upvoted this and reblogged it for the first time, today.

I don't get it too clearly but it seems like if HDB drops down further $1.00, the @hdbstabilizer will eagerly rush for buy it own coins in order to keep Hive rewards and benefits. Hehe, sounds good.

Your theory is not how it actually works. Please read the posts that are referenced above to understand how @hdbstabilizer is designed and how it handles the scenario where HBD <= $1.00.

My best wishes and regards to you.
I am new here , keep me in prayers.

Good Luck.
