Everyday, because of my fears, ego and curiosity in the face of new circumstances, i have to ask myself: ¿Who am I? So today, i'll do this excercise with you as witnesses.

I believe there is an essence in every single person, something deep inside that even after the death of all we have come to known, even after five, ten, twenty five, or fifty years, keeps locked up right there, in the middle, and allows us to recognice ourselves. This is a well known phenomenon, we called it "Identity" and it's a metaphysical problem which is often described as our "persistence through time".

The problem arises with my personal identity, which changes overtime. Personal identity are the properties to which we feel a special sense of attachment, those which defines us. ¿Have you seen the "about" section in your Hive profiles? That is probably how you identify youserlf in this social circle, at least for now, and it can or can not be only here, but today in front of you, i'm a writer, a reader, a perfomatic poet, and an actor, but for the purpose of this text, which is to reach you, dear reader, i will only elaborate on the first two, me as a writer, and me as a reader.

I'll begin from Occultis as a writer:

The Writer

That's me, the writer, in "La poesía" (The poetry) a cafe in San Telmo, the historical neighbourhood of Buenos Aires, looking at a drawing of myself made by a friend who pin it to the wall among other writers, being sincere, it was a little bit presumptuous, but it made me feel part of something that i admire, the ones who write.

¿Why do i write? Because is my way to cope with the world, because i don't like the world i see, and because i have faith in every single person, and i imagine, and write, and share my knowledge with the hope that someone whom is reading gets something done, with his life, or the life of someone else.

It begun in the hardest time of my life, six years ago, i was thrown out of my home, i lost almost all of my things, the relationship i had just ended, and my best friend was in a psychiatric institution because of depression. I felt lonely, without no one to talk to, so i had to talk with myself to not end things, and the way i found, was writing. Eversince, i write everyday, i have two books completed, and three in proccess of writing, and tons, and tons of pages without structure, but full of meaning. I live because i write, because there are things that i can not say aloud, but if i don´t say them, they will rotten inside me.

Writing is a tool that i recommend to everyone, because not even yourself have to look at what you write, it can be a medium to express yourself without thinking, and burned it after, and it can only be yours, until you decide it is not.

The Reader

That is also me, in the shadows of Alejandra Pizarnik, an argentine writer - rest in peace dear Alejandra - who i love because of her pain, and how she communicate it through poetry. The picture was taken in Eleuzína, a cultural institution in Banská Stiavnica, Slovakia, where i worked for a few months back in 2019, giving lectures and organizing cultural events.

¿Why do i read? Commicaly, also because i don't like the world in front of my eyes, so i look answers and tools in other people's world, maybe you are doing the same right now, and i'll take this brief space to tell you, that there is always something else behind, and reading will help you with it, as Roland Barthes put it "...the book creates meaning, the meaning creates life" and for further meaning, that quote, is from the book The Pleasure of the text

The pleasure from reading, to me, is to find concepts that i can apply in my life, for example in the Tractatus politicus by Barruch Spinoza, "I have striven not to laugh at human actions, not to weep at them, nor to hate them, but to understand them" and that's a concept who everyone should apply, because all of us are here, under different circumstances, and privileges, and we are all living, and we are all dying, and there is no point in judging, without understanding.
