Isn't it a shame that I, as the founder, haven't contributed a single post to my own "Fascinating Insects community" yet? I'll try to make the excuse that there aren't that many insects crawling and flying around outside during the German winter, but anyway, today is the day, and I finally got around to condensing some arthropod photos taken in the last days and weeks into a post.
I really hope you like the pictures!

Ist es nicht eine Schande, dass ich als Gründer bisher noch keinen einzigen Post zu meiner eigenen "Fascinating Insects-Community" beisteuerte? Ich versuche mich mal damit herauszureden, dass im deutschen Winter nun mal nicht allzu viele Insekten draußen herumkrabbeln und -fliegen, aber wie dem auch sei, heute ist es soweit, und ich kam endlich dazu, ein paar in den letzten Tagen und Wochen aufgenommene Arthropoden-Fotos zu einem Post zu verdichten.
Ich hoffe, euch gefallen die Bilder!

Schöner Post und tolle Bilder! Schön dass du auch hier postest. Wie wirst du das in Zukunft machen, bleibst du auf beiden Chains aktiv oder wirst du dich irgendwann entscheiden? Schönes Wochenende!
Ich werde wohl hauptsächlich hier posten, weil ein Großteil der User, mit denen ich in Kontakt stehe, hierhin umgezogen ist, werde aber testweise ab und zu auch noch Posts auf dem STEEM veröffentlichen und die dortige Entwicklung beobachten.
Wie immer tolle Bilder. Aus eurem Garten? Wusste gar nicht dass es in Deutschland auch diese Hundertfüßer gibt. So einen hatten wir hier neulich im Bad, ein riesen Viech. Hab ihn mit einer Tupperdose gefangen und raus gebracht, hat ihm gar nicht geschmeckt! :)
Ja, alle Bilder stammen aus unserem Garten.
Hundert- und Tausendfüßer sind in Deutschland überhaupt nicht selten, nur erreichen sie bei weitem nicht die Größe ihrer tropischen Verwandten.

Du zeigst wieder mal eindrucksvoll dass man auch im heimischen Garten Insekten beobachten und dokumentieren kann. Eine schöne Auswahl hast du hier getroffen. Besonders gefällt mir, dass du sie alle beim Namen nennst!

Ugh, still have the goosebumps! I'm glad there's folks like you to give love and attention to the littlest creatures. My youngest son is like that, he is always rescuing us from spiders and spruce beetles in our house haha! He's the go-to guy for bug removal, takes them outside, usually plays with them for a bit first letting them crawl on his arm.

Je kleiner die Tiere sind, desto faszinierender sind sie zu beobachten, vor allem, wenn sie durch schöne Bilder in Großaufnahme so in Szene gesetzt wurden, wie es hier der Fall ist.
Gestern habe ich auf ServusTV eine Doku gesehen, wo gerade über Mistkäfer geredet wurde (Terra Mater, Afrikas heimliche Herrscher – Die Dung-Mafia). Die Darstellungen, wie die Neugeborenen sich durch den Mist in die Freiheit fressen waren zwar nicht so meins, aber ansonsten wurde das Leben dieser Tiere sehr interessant dargestellt, auch durch bildgewaltige Szenen und Großaufnahmen, welche sogar mit der Qualität deiner Bilder hier mithalten konnten, wirklich sehr empfehlenswert.
Haha, nicht übertreiben: Ich bin sicher, sie waren deutlich besser, schärfer und detailreicher als meine Bilder. Ich bin ein reiner Hobbyfotograf, aber gebe mir natürlich Mühe, bestmögliche Fotos (mit meinem Handy!) zu machen.
Jetzt hast Du den ersten Post gemacht! Und dann noch so einen mit phantastischen Bildern. Bin echt neidisch auf Deine Camera.

Ich nutze 'nur' eine Handy-Kamera (derzeit die eines Huawei Mate 20 Pro).
Tolle Fotos. Mit der grauen Garenwanze ärgere ich gerne meine Holde. Die kann die Viecher nämlich absolut nicht ab, weil sie manchmal ein Sekret absondern, das meine Frau nicht riechen mag.
Die Wanzen fliegen gerne bei uns von der Teresse ins Haus. Ich setze sie dann immer auf einem Blatt Papier nach draußen.
Tut es auch dem Menschen weh, wenn der gemeine Steinläufer sein Gift in die menschliche Haut injiziert?

Why are people always uncomfortable with most insects?
I don't know ... maybe people tend to fear things the more the less knowledge they have about them? :)
The Hornfaced bees is somewhat really interesting and it's a great shot, when you were shooting I wonder how you took the shot. It's a beauty apart from the fact that it's rare.
Solitary bees are completely peaceful and harmless, so that it's no problem to make photos from close up.
I make all photos with the camera of my mobile phone (currently Huawei Mate 20 Pro).

You always have good observation; i.e. you can notice even the one that was in a small hole in the ground/under the stone, etc.
These arthropods and the “Hornfaced bee” are magnificent. All of them look healthy. I think it’s because of the good environment in your garden. You are very kind to them to let them stay happily and peacefully in your nice garden. I always admire you on this.

Hmm, looks like your garden is already brimming with (micro) wildlife :) A lot of interesting little creatures here. I think these days, with literally billions of people all over the world staying home, nature can finally take some nice break from humans.
I love the bee! I once wrote a whole blog about bees and had no idea about solitary bees! There's even a solitary bee week. Thank you for introducing me to this beautiful and remarkable class of bees.

No, of course not, for example honey bees prefer nectar and pollen, many insects also eat leaves or suck plant sap.
