Remember - The Bee does something Impossible Every Day

Hello everyone,

Its been a while to wait for our jasmine and curry leaves plant to regrow after they were infected. The fresh branches of curry leaves came out very well and the flower bunches were all over the tree. Do you know what did these tiny flowers in big flower bunches attract? The Bee!!

How did this happen!
3 days back.
My little niece was playing in our living room and there was a tiny bee which came in and had fallen on the ground. The little Asmita stepped on the bee accidentally. The bee stings before it died. Asmita was crying very loud and we all were worried untill she pointed at her feet. Without knowing its a bee sting, I thought she had hit a rough surface and had a small skin tear. I thought it as skin tear and pulled the small skin type thing away and checked closely. She kept crying and didnt allow me to touch the spot.

We were confused, what had happened. Did she step on a glass piece or something sharp which she broke from her toys, or the wooden furniture wear out. Then i started checking all the places she was playing and found the dead bee. Luckily it was a small bee which is not poisonous. And i had already removed the sting from her feet. There was no swelling. Called out doc n explained, he said it is ok if there is no swelling and all was good after she took a nap.

Thats when i realised the bee accidentally came into our living room from the curry leaves plant. Without much wait I went up and took off almost all the flower bunches so that there wont be much trouble. I also clicked few photographs in a scary mood of not getting stung

Beautiful bees, funny you mention curry leaves. Here in Suriname our old apartment had a small curry bush, so we assumed it was a somewhat common ingredient here. Now that we've switched neighborhoods we've had to ask locals if they know about curry leaves, and we've gone months without them.

Neem is everywhere here, and I've heard one local refer to curry leaves as "sweet neem," but no one that I've showed our tiny little curry sapling has ever seen one. It is strange to be surrounded by ancestral Indians who have no idea what curry leaves are.

Oh wow, thats so strange that indians without curry leaves 🤭

Here in southindia almost every house with a space for garden will have a curry leaves tree. In other sense it can be called as sweet neem but havent heard using the name.
