Hace rato que no subo Pixel art a mi blog, y creo que participar junto con Pixelart Community, es una buena manera de volver a traer mi arte.

It's been a while since I uploaded Pixel art to my blog, and I think that participating together with Pixelart Community, is a good way to bring back my art.
Cuando leí el post invitación, y vi que en esta ocasión el tema era una colección, por mi mente pasaron cientos de ideas, mi colección de Legos, mi colección de camisetas de fútbol, mi colección de entradas a eventos ó mi colección de rocas.
Pero hubo un pensamiento que se destacó por sobre el resto. Mi antigua colección de Libros, esa colección que compartía con mi papá.
When I read the post invitation, and I saw that this time the theme was a collection, hundreds of ideas went through my mind, my Legos collection, my football jersey collection, my event ticket collection and even my rock collection.
But there was one particular thought that stood out from the rest. My old book collection, that collection I had with my dad.
Esta fotografía contiene parte de los libros que había leído junto a mi papá, enciclopedias, diccionarios y algunas cosas más. Es una colección que aún nos espera en Venezuela, y a la que le quiero hacer un pequeño homenaje hoy.
This picture contains some of the books I had read with my dad, encyclopedias, dictionaries and some other things. It is a collection that still awaits us in Venezuela, and I want to pay a small tribute to it today.
Comienzo con un par de Rectángulos, uno de 220 Px de alto, por 200 Px de ancho; Otro de 220 Px de alto, por 40 Px de ancho para dar perspectiva luego.
Aprovecho para decir que use Adobe Photoshop para realizar esto, y que decidí utilizar un máximo de 16 colores.
I start with a pair of Rectangles, one 220 Px high, by 200 Px wide; and another 220 Px high, by 40 Px wide to give perspective later.

Podría decir que esa estantería estaba llena de historias, y no me refiero a las que cuentan los libros. En ella teníamos una enciclopedia de Disney, que me ayudo durante mi primaria; Una novela que le regalo mi padre a mi mamá durante su noviazgo, y esa colección color vino de la foto, la compró mi papá durante meses a través de un especial del periódico, y dos tomos que faltaban los incluí yo 16 años después cuando los compre en la universidad.
I could tell that that shelf was full of stories, and I don't mean the stories in the books. We had a Disney encyclopedia on it, which helped me during my primary school years; a novel that my father gave to my mother during their relationship, and that wine collor collection in the photo, which my father bought for months through a newspaper special, and two missing volumes that I included 16 years later when I bought them in university.

Este fue mi resultado recreando mi Colección, y cumpliendo mi reto de usar solo 16 colores. Quiero agradecer nuevamente a @kristyglas por la oportunidad, e invitar a todos a dedicarle un rato a tratar de hacer Pixel-Art.
