El día de ayer me llegó la notificación de que la bella @mayifiestas me había invitado a participar en una iniciativa llamada "Maquillaje de leyendas de terror". Consiste en hacer un maquillaje inspirado en alguna leyenda urbana de mi pueblo. No podría estar más emocionada de participar en esta actividad ya que une dos cosas que amo con locura, El maquillaje y el misterio.

Para mi leyenda escogí la historia de las momias del doctor Knoche.

Yesterday I received a notification that the beautiful @mayfiestas had invited me to participate in an initiative called "Horror Legends Makeup". It consists of making a makeup inspired by some urban legend of my town. I couldn't be more excited to participate in this activity as it ties together two things that I love madly, Makeup and Mystery.
For my legend I chose the story of the mummies of Dr. Knoche.

Esta leyenda tiene como lugar de origen en el Parque nacional El Avila. Cuenta la historia del Doctor Gottfried Knoche y como creó un líquido embalsamador a mediados del siglo XIX, con el cual momificaba cadáveres que encontraba en el hospital San Juan de Dios los cuales fallecian a causa de la guerra Federal. Dicho líquido era inyectado directamente en el torrente sanguíneo y conservaba a los cadáveres sin necesidad de sacarle los órganos.

Todas estas mómias las conservaba en su mausoleo. Cuenta la leyenda que varias personas fueron testigos de como una de sus momias salío de su sarcófago en el cual la tenia el Doctor Knoche, dió unos pasos hasta un caballo que ténia cerca y arrancó en él hasta que se perdíio de vista. Ciertas personas dan fé hoy en día de que a cierta hora se puede escuchar las pisadas de este caballo a lo largo del territorio de este parque. Tambien afirman que si vas al Mausoleo del Doctor Knoche, aún se puede escuchar los pasos de este Galeno.

This legend originates from the El Avila National Park. It tells the story of Doctor Gottfried Knoche and how he created an embalming liquid in the mid-nineteenth century, with which he mummified corpses that he found in the San Juan de Dios hospital, which died as a result of the Federal war. This liquid was injected directly into the bloodstream and preserved the corpses without having to remove the organs.
All these mummies he kept in his mausoleum. Legend has it that several people witnessed how one of his mummies came out of his sarcophagus in which Dr. Knoche had it, took a few steps to a nearby horse and started on it until it was out of sight. Certain people today give faith that at a certain time the footsteps of this horse can be heard throughout the territory of this park. They also claim that if you go to the Mausoleum of Doctor Knoche, you can still hear the footsteps of this Galen.

MATERIALES:

Utilicé una base de color blanco, Sombras color Negra y Marrón , iluminador y brochas para difuminar.

MATERIALS:

I used a white base, Black and Brown Shadows, highlighter and blending brushes.

PASOS/STEPS

Apliqué la base color blanco en todo mi rostro, orejas y parte de mi cuello para luego rellenar un poco las cejas, (mientras mas naturales se vean mejor).

I applied the white base all over my face, ears and part of my neck to then fill in the eyebrows a bit, (the more natural they look the better).

Para comenzar con las sombras difuminé una color marrón desde la esquina externa de mis ojos hasta llegar al primer tercio de mi ceja y luego di profundidad con la sombra negra. Apliqué delineador negro en la linea de agua e iluminador en el lagrimal para finalizar.

To start with the shadows, I smudged a brown color from the outer corner of my eyes to the first third of my eyebrow and then added depth with the black shadow. I applied black eyeliner on the water line and highlighter on the tear to finish.

Hice un contorno muy marcado con una sombra marron pero que daba como un tono grisaceo, esto con la intensión de remarcar los pómulos, hice lo mismo en la sien.

I made a very marked outline with a brown shadow but that gave a grayish tone, this with the intention of highlighting the cheekbones, I did the same on the temple.

Definí mi nariz con la misma sombra marrón y en mis orificios nasales apliqué negro.

I defined my nose with the same brown shadow and applied black to my nostrils.

Apliqué base blanca en mis labios y en la parte interna apliqué sombra negra.

I applied white base on my lips and on the inside I applied black shadow.

¡Y listo! El maquillaje está hecho .

And ready! The makeup is done.

Este fue una iniciativa que desde el principió me encantó. Los mitos y las leyendas son algo sumamente interesante para mi, ya que hasta el mas esceptico siempre tendrá la duda en su interior de si Será real alguna de estas leyendas. Espero les haya gustado este post.

This was an initiative that I loved from the beginning. Myths and legends are something extremely interesting for me, since even the most skeptical will always have the doubt inside whether any of these legends will be real. I hope you liked this post..
