Hello #makeuppower family, I hope you are all very well, today we come retro, hahahaha, to participate in the initiative of the beautiful @tefyart, INITIATIVE: MAKEUP AND LOOK INSPIRED BY THE 60s.

I must confess that at the beginning I had no idea what a 60s makeup or look would look like, so I was watching videos and reading a bit about this topic, which was really very entertaining. I even had the opportunity to see makeup from other years like the 50's, 70's, even 2000, which when you say it feels close, but it's amazing how fashion and makeup have changed over the years.

The makeup, outfits, clothes and even hairstyles of these years had a very particular charm. In this era, individual expression and personality were reflected through fashion and style, from women who preferred a more natural make-up and a more reserved hairstyle, to those who opted for a more striking look with dark shades of color, well-defined eyebrows and a large volume in the hairstyle.

The beauty ideal for the 60's was a woman with a lot of powder on her face at the beginning of the decade, but later only enough to cover imperfections. Later on, coral, pink or peach blusher began to be used to create a natural glow all over the face. As for eyebrows, at this time they were clean, groomed and shaped.

In the 60's, the eyes were the center of the makeup, achieved with a pale upper eyelid that carried an unblurred dark stripe right at the arch of the eye, from the inner to the outer point of the eyelid. White eyeliner was also applied to the inner eye line to make the eye appear larger and more open. Many women wore false eyelashes not only on the upper part, but also on the lower part or painted them with eyeliner.

Lips were painted very natural, with light colors of coral, pinks and peaches, and were also lined. With information from

As for clothes, I bring the dresses of the 60's, a classic of fashion. During these years the option that stood out was a design with a skirt with a lot of volume, but very tight in the waist area, so much so that even women used to wear belts on top of the dress to highlight this part even more.

During this period, dresses with a high neckline were also beginning to be seen, but dresses with a high neckline were also very typical. Like the miniskirts, dresses were also above the knee and following the trend of bright colors, very bright shades and impossible prints were worn. With information from

For the make-up, I did a pretty natural make-up on the face, just foundation, powder and a touch of blush. In the eye area, I used a defined eyebrows, I also used a highlighter as a shadow and I made the particular, let's say double eyeliner of the time. For the lower part I applied a white eyeliner and drew the lower lashes with the help of a black eyeliner. Finally I applied a coral lipstick.

To finish the look, I did a half ponytail hairstyle, wore a floral print dress, added a white scarf and some big tendrils.

I really liked this initiative, and I have to confess that, although the final look looks easy, the truth is that it was a challenge for me, mostly because of the circumstances I was in when I did it, hahahaha!

Usually whenever I do a makeup I'm alone, but this time my sister @beatriche was with me and we definitely didn't take anything seriously, hahahaha! you have no idea what I suffered to do the eyeliner without smudging, because whenever I tried to do it Bea said something and the laughter doesn't leave me. But in the end the makeup survived my sister's witticisms, hahahahaha.

Now, the clothes were another challenge, hahahaha, the "dress" is a shirt from my mom that I adjusted to my body with a clip, and the "scarf" is a mosquito net, hahahaha, in my defense it was the closest I got, because I recreated the whole look from a video I saw, so I tried to make it as similar as possible.

I must confess that for every makeup I have an anecdote, something always happens to me, I think we all go through that, we stain it, it doesn't fit the first time, the lipstick runs, but doing this look was a lot of fun, especially putting it together with the things I had at hand at home.
