IMG_9343.jpg

Remains of the Samara River Fleet. On a small island near the city, an old abandoned ship was found. He was found that year, in the summer, but there was no way to move to the island. But winter came, the river froze over, and it became possible to inspect the ship closer. The ice is thick, 15 centimeters - you can already walk on this without fear.

As experts suggested, this is the MDK-759 ship of project 106k. Small Landing Ship. Built in 1972. The ship's owner is the Russian Ministry of Defense. The network found information that for some time the ship was used for civilian transportation from Samara to Rozhdestveno, a village on the other side of the Volga River. He carried not only passengers, but also cars. In what year it was abandoned is unknown. Preservation is not very good, but still something has been preserved. There is security, but she is loyal to photographers.
