A Soviet block of bricks nr. Viljandi. Estonia

in Urban Exploration2 years ago

Down a dirt track road, (normal roads in most of rural Estonia tbh).

It looked inviting

SPG_7455.jpeg

I have said it before, I shall say it again "I like getting my leg over", I find open doors less of a challenge, with a distinct possibility of bumping into, some drug crazed vagrant, or creature of the night, hiding in the dark corners.

But ho hum

C,mon
Let's mooch

SPG_7470.jpeg

Do I be polite and call it a block of apartments?

SPG_7467.jpeg

I find these doors quite intriguing, they must have been common in buildings of the former USSR; when I was mooching around the city of Prypyat a few years back all the apartment buildings had similar doors.

Here are some snaps of aimless wandering, with little of interest to see. Stay with me.

Amazing how this gorgeous 70's lampshade has survived in tact. Do you watch Salvage Hunters?

That robbing twat Drew Pritchard would want £100 for it. ( and he is still banned from the pubs in Conwy, for fighting and causing a disturbance).

Now we can enjoy some of the more photogenic bits and bobs

Who the fuck designed this bath? One of Snow White's dwarfs?

A mid 60's communication from the "MINISTRY OF PUBLIC ORDER ESTONIAN SSR", alas the folder was empty.

As were the rest of the rooms.

Sort:

Pills without the needles.. and Indian Instant Coffee.. that's a new one...

yes, I saw tins of that coffee in a few places in Estonia, must have been popular

Enough drugs lying around to open a pharmacy. The bath I noticed in one or two places traveling Europe in the 70's not sure what you do with that odd shape!

Wall paper never stuck around long enough, each apartment much the same some a little cleaner than others, Oh yes all the same doors!

!BEER
!LOLZ

Hotel receptionists are creepy.
They spend all day checking people out.

Never lie in a bath, use showers here now.

Knew a chain smoker who had special umbrella so as to smoke in a shower, perhaps consider to reading too?

What an amazing find, I especially loved the reading material, that stuff fascinates me. I am always convinced that one of these days there will be some incredible scandal revealed from one of these stacks of papers left behind.

Thanks for engaging @anarchistpreneur
