Three faces of an old yard on Vicheva Square in Lviv ...

The city of Lviv is gradually returning to its usual life, and for the first time after the quarantine was lifted, I walked through the city center through the narrow old streets and wandered to Vichev Square.

Місто Львів потроху повертається до свого звичного життя і я вперше після послаблення карантину гуляла пішки через центр міста вузькими старовинними вулицями, і забрела на площу Вічева.

Here is a unique courtyard, which fascinates with its architecture. I am just approaching the gate, as I already feel the spirit of past centuries. Three different aspects of life have come together here, which I want to show you in order to experience all the diversity of modern life of this yard.

Тут розташований унікальний двір, який захоплює своєю архітектурою. Я лише наближаючись до воріт, як вже відчуваю дух минулих століть. Три різних сторони життя зійшлися тут,які я хочу показати вам, для того щоб відчути всю багатогранності сучасного життя цього двору.

The first is the ancient church and nunnery, which is still operating today. It is an architectural monument of 1595, a church and a Benedictine monastery.
You can see the bell tower and sculpture of the archangel guard with wings, the massive door to the church in the form of an arch - all this fills me with respect for the ancient grandeur of this building, where every day the nuns lead their active prayer life.

Перше - це старовинна церква та жіночий монастир, який є діючий сьогодні. Це пам'ятник архітектури 1595 року, Костел та монастир бенедектинок.
Ти можеш бачити дзвіницю та скульптуру архангелу охоронця з крилами, масивні двері до костелу в формі арки - все це наповнює мене повагою до старовинному величі цієї будівлі, де щодня монахині ведуть тут своє активне молитовне життя.

The second is the school of St. Sophia, which is located in the monastery and children of the Lviv intelligentsia study here, acquiring Christian literacy. A wonderful spacious school is located in the yard, which is filled with good energy and there is a lot of greenery, which looks beautiful against the background of an old orange brick wall.

Друге - це школа Святої Софії, яка розташована в приміщенні монастиря і діти Львівської інтелігенції навчаються тут, здобуваючи християнську грамотність. Чудова простора школа розташована на подвір'ї , яке наповнена хорошою енергетикою і є тут багато зелені, яка красиво виглядає на тлі старої помаранчевої цегляної стіни.

And the third is the courtyards with one - storey buildings next to each other, which create a striking contrast with this grandeur and architectural masterpieces of past centuries.

І третє - це двори з одноразовими будівлями поряд, які створюють разючий контраст з цією величчю та архітектурними шедеврами минулих століть. Уявіть собі, поряд з шикарними новобудовами, на межі різних епох тут, в цих бараках живуть люди, не маючи можливість придбати собі інше, добротніше житло. А можливо знаходячись в магічній аурі цього двору, їм тут затишно і комфортно ?

Leaving the yard, I noticed a plaque on the wall, where it was written that in 1876 - 1877 the famous poet Ivan Franko lived and worked here.
Imagine, along with luxury new buildings on the verge of different eras, here, in these barracks, people live without the opportunity to buy another, better housing. Or maybe being in the magical aura of this yard, they are cozy and comfortable here?

Уже виходячи з двору, я помітила табличку на стіні, де було написано, що в в 1876 - 1877 роках тут жив та творив знаменитий поет Іван Франко.
