THE STORY OF A YOUNG MAN WHO WAS DEFEATED BY HIS EGO.

There is a story of a young man who works in an automobile company. His name is Fredrick. They build automobiles(cars) in this company so, he is one of those that help in building cars there. Fred designed a car on a piece of paper waiting for him to built it and the diagram of the car looks pleasant to the eye.
One day, he went to the place where they do build the automobiles. He started building the car has drawn in the paper. He fixed everything well, the engine, wires, bots and nuts. At last, all he crossed all 'T's and dot all 'I's. Everyone who saw the car built by Fred loved it and wish it was their. The car is attractive to the eye and it looks pretty good. It is now time to move the car from the site where it was built to the warehouse.

Of course, there is a gate at the entrance of the building where its built. On getting to the gate that lead outside where it is built, the gateman noticed that the car is a bit taller than the upper wall of the gate. Fredrick stopped the car to check what the gateman is talking about, on getting there he found out that it was true.
What will he do now? Will he go ahead and scratch the car or will he leave the car in the garage? Will he dismantle the car or he will scratch it?
This is a hard decision I guess!

A lot of things is running through his mind at that time and was caught in indecision. The gateman approached him to talk to him but he declined. The gateman told him he had an idea on what could be done, immediately he heard this he became furious. Are you telling me what to do? Do you think you are more intelligent than me? Are you telling me that I don't know what is right? That's what Fredrick keep on saying/telling the gateman. The gateman feel embarrassed and went back to his post.
He then decided to take the car out not minding the scratch its going to have at the top of the car, he planned repainting it after incurring the scratch. He eventually took the car outside and the scratch was a bit severe. The gateman turn to Fred and told him, "you should have loosen the air in the tyres of the car which will reduce the height of the vehicle thereby, making it easy to move out of the gate".
Fredrick was astonished as he was given the best way out of the problem he was previously into but, it is too late. He blamed himself for letting his ego take over him.

• Don't underrate anybody in this life.
• Value everyone around you regardless of their status.
