Trying Out Our New Sous Vide | 試用新機器 - 舒肥法 (低温慢煮法)

We received a sous vide from a friend over Christmas and we thought we would give it a go considering there has been so much rave about it online. The machine was very to set up, get a big pot ready with water and your choice of food in a zip lock bag ready to start cooking.

今年聖誕朋友送了一部 sous vide 給我們. 在網上看見很多人都用這部神器所以都想看看怎麼樣用來煮餸. 這部機很容易安裝,只要準備一個大煲裝滿水,食物放在密封袋裏就可以開始.

The reading panel is very similar and you can set your desired temperature when you have it clipped onto the pot. Then you put in the setting on how long you want it to have it. The max time you can set for cooking is 99 hours and 59 minutes which I highly doubt anyone would use this setting.

這部機可以調校溫度和時間. 時間的極限可以教調校到 99小時 59分鐘但我覺得很少人會用 99個小時煮一樣食物.

Once you have the settings right, set your food into the water and let the machine warm up the water to the desired temperature. We have steak we want to try out and set it around 50 degrees and cooking for 58 minutes. Once that is done, the outside of the meat is nicely cooked retaining the yummy juice. Hubby went to pan fry it for awhile and its ready. Super quick and the meat is really juicy as the sous vide have locked in the juice of the meat.

調校好溫度和時間就可以放準備好的食物到水裏. 我們今次想着一塊牛扒準備用 50度左右煮 58分鐘. 時間一到可以看見牛扒外面已經有點熟.老公就用幾分鐘時間再煎這塊牛扒就可以吃. 因為用這把神器先煮好肉,肉汁已經鎖在裏面所以煎完整塊牛扒都非常美味.下一次會嘗試做魚類或雞看看口感會怎麼樣.
