It's another week that music lovers on the Hive blockchain come together to express themselves through music.

Different themes are usually presented every week and we are always graced with the privilege to explore the theme by singing a song that fits it.

This week is special. This week's theme is 'My Original Song'.

As I said in the video, I have composed my original song before and I have published one in the Afritunes community.

The song 'You Are Somebody' is a simple song and an interesting one too. We the choir sing that song in church whenever we have a new member in our midst.

We sing it to welcome our new members and remind them that they are somebody. The song is also like an encouraging song, telling the new members that they've been cleansed by God's worse and others are sons and daughters of God. We all are.

Indeed, sometimes the situations we are faced with, or even our past mistakes make us feel like we are no longer God's children.

I've grown to understand that the devil whispers these lies to us to discourage us from getting closer to God. That's why a reminder like this goes a long way for believers.

The lyrics of the song aren't many, it's just a song that has five lines. When we sing it, we usually repeat it three times and sometimes more or less.

While singing, the other church members and the pastorates go meet the new members to greet them with a handshake. And after the service, a group of people meet those new members to get their details, pray with them and offer some refreshments.
