Hello guys, awesome people on HiveopenMic open mic community, it is a pleasure for me once again to have the opportunity to musically express my self in the spirit of the weekly themes suggested by spotlight artists. For this week, we have a beautiful theme of La Unión.

Reflecting on this wonderful theme, I was led to reflect on the necessity of unity in our world and lives. In other words, many things cannot be achieved alone, even if it becomes achieved, it will be so difficult compared to when it is carried out in union.

There are many popular adages that highlights the importance of unity, but for the sake of brevity, i will state a few.

1. A tree cannot make a forest
2. United we stand, divided we fall
   3.Unity is strength.
   There are obviously many others that can better capture the importance and essence of unity in the workings of our world.

The aforementioned made me to chose the song for today from the album of an African talented female musician known as ANGÉLIQUE KIDJO. The name of this song is "Mother Nature".
I chose this song because of the resonance of the message of unity in it. You can almost hear the phrase "We need each other", resonating almost through out the song. The song is basically suggesting the necessity of coming together to heed the warning of mother nature and to protect her by doing things that do not pollute her soroundings.
