Ladies and gentlemen, it's Hive Open Mic week 128 π₯π₯°
Talking about heartbreak, it's one topic we all have one thing or two to contribute. Breakfast as we Nigerians have termed it isn't necessarily a damaged relationship, it can arise from failed expectations too.
Often I see people say things like heartbreak won't stop them from loving, meaning,love is such a beautiful experience that you don't mind being down over and over again, to find the one for you.
Speaking for myself, the one time I was really heartbroken, I'm not sure I ever want to experience that again but living in the reality of that pain would hinder my growth, so anyway, I had to pick myself up and move. Not only did I discover that, I saw a lot of other things I would've been blind to if I didn't experience all that.
This is a song from the musical: The Greatest Showman. The same was the story of Barnum. He was in blind pursuit of ambition, forgot the point of his hustle and eventually realized he had lost what mattered most to him. If failure didn't set in, he wouldn't have but he eventually realized he had lost everything and he had to go make things right.
It's an honor making a video with the great @jaydrπ₯³ππ½. I had a wonderful time making this collab with @jaydr. Wonderful is an understatement infact, it was fun! You can imagine how many times we had to film individually. I'm glad we could make this happen and we hope you enjoyed it! π₯
It's a pleasure to have done this with you too, I recall when the idea started and we were wondering how to pull it through, I m glad thought became action and action produced results. To be sincere, I have considered doing a collab with many Artistes on Hive, my first was with @mipiano , how she shocked me with her awesome performance still awes me, now you made look like every bit of ease with butter. It was a pleasure and so much fun and I see us doing more soonest.
Like @sekani said, it wasn't an easy task to pull so we wanted to share some bloopers hehehe

Well well, I was beginning to ruminate on the effort you both put in this duet and I hoped the bloopers would be more of a video rather than a GIF haha. The synchronization, the harmony and the synergy. It was absolutely beautiful. I enjoyed the beginning probably because it was sombre. But.... Magnificent. You both did a great job, wow.

I don't know if it's just me, but I found the parts that you were both looking at each other so adorable...π I was like, "awww..."π
I loved everything, but I so much loved the beginning. It had a very warm feel to it.
The whole cover has a particular vibe, in fact. You know all those songs that will make you feel like a gorilla and can do anything, when in fact, you are one skinny monkey, but it'll give you that ginger that you can do anything? Yeah, this cover of yours is just like it... I love it!
I think anybody that does Open Mic here on Hive can totally relate to the bloopers and all. It is all part of the process. And they make it all the more beautiful.
I know how hard it is to do a song, let alone a collab. You guys, @jaydr and @sekani, are amazing. More abegg (I'm not sure @jaydr is Nigerian. He looks Canadian.) I love your baritone too, jaydr. We baritone singers struggle often to find the right songs, or even deliver well on any song, considering our low vocals. But you found your way around it. Great job!
