I love seeing flowers growing in my small container garden. They make me smile, and that's what I need today. It's Mom's second death anniversary. I still can't believe that time just flew by so fast. I still miss her often. I don't think that's going away soon. It's a wonder that I've functioned the way I did while going through grief and loss. Time heals all wounds they say. In a way, they're right. I'm slowly able to look back and remember Mom more fondly. I don't cry as much anymore too. I guess I will be okay. Life goes on, after all.
In a way, I want to remember Mom by keeping the container garden well-maintained. I'm glad I found a garden keeper to help me keep it looking good. I'm sure Mom will be happy too. Well, I did spend some time at the garden yesterday afternoon, just to get away from the heat inside the flat. I found these gems and decided to make a collage from the photos I took.
Flowers: (top) crown of thorns in two colors -- a gift from my garden keeper; the next one -- I call it tita vicky plant as she's my mom's friend and she gave this plant to mom. It has produced lots of tiny flowers. Tita Vicky says they smell nice. I think I need more of them to be able to smell them when I pass by the garden.
(bottom) jasmine plant -- Mom's sampaguita plant has almost dried up but somehow we were able to revive it. This one has such fragrant flowers. I smell them nightly when I visit the garden. The hanging plant with the pink flower is also a gift from my garden keeper. I'm not sure what kind of plant it is. I'll ask her about it. LOL! Then, there's my celosia plant with the interesting looking flower. I hope the other smaller celosia plants will also bloom soon.
