RE: The quest to use less plastic

in Silver Bloggers2 years ago

This is a great post. I usually recycle glass jars to reuse them for jams, jellies, pickles, and soup. Everything is better preserved in glass. But I'm not lying, in my house, there are also many plastic containers. My son for school had to take lunch in plastic containers, those of glasses were forbidden, and I can understand it.

But here, it is alarming the amount of plastic that is used, in bags, and packaging containers, and there is little awareness of recycling in general. And now with the raise in food delivery services because of the pandemic is even worse.

The story of how you come to use glass for your market products, and the synergy you have created with customers who help you recycle them is truly inspiring.

I also have lots of plastic, but it's the reusable kind. I have Tupperware that I inherited from my mother. The point is the single use stuff and, as you say, with the pandemic and deliveries has just make it worse. One order for me had more bubble wrap than items!

And thank you for your kind words!

Happy Monday 😊

Yep, deliveries have increased the use of plastic material so much. And too many sometimes use it for things that are not even justified that could very well go in a paper bag or a recycled cardboard box. And the only thing we can do is to give preference to services that are more creative and kind to the planet when presenting their products.

Have a happy week 🤗

Exactly!
