In the beginning of the member names
It all started not long after this community began, just a bit more then a year ago and as a fun way of building the community. Today we have already 50 Silver Bloggers showing their support and part-taking in our world of "knowledge, wisdom and craziness".
Are you ready for this?
Fifty shades of Silver... that's what we got right now. Wow! Thank you! Just after our first blockchain birthday we are showing good presence and continue to grow.
Now, after a quick check in the logs we can see that...
Today we have 1198 subscribers, of which 109 are active and of those there are 50 awesome members having chosen to be a real part with their personal Silver Name!
This made me think: "What about the other 1148 subscribers?" Some observation shows that many folks are just clicking on any links in any posts and miss the most important engagement on hive. I do not wonder, seeing many users (bot's or cyborg's!?) following thousands of accounts. How do they even read through all that? Every Day? For the ones knowing me just a little bit, understand what i am talking about here.
But what about the other 59 active users? Okay, some of these are just youngsters trying to get a part of this "cake" made by us. Though we are not senile and with our life experience can see trough most of these "rip-off's".
The remaining 50 I would love to see over at our Silverbloggers Discord Server to have some fun chats, also the place to get your silver name. I know, i know... discord is not for everyone. That's something i hear often, though for know it's just the "best" way to communicate important (and unimportant) stuff between each other, and all this without using the "precious" RC. And when you already know how to handle Hive with all the keys and logs, you sure are able to use discord too.
How to check if you are already a Silver Blogger at heart and "need" your personal member name!
You can agree with the Silver Bloggers’ Community description saying, "A community for retired and aspirant retiree bloggers, seasoned and wannabe crypto hodlers"!?
You are a young-at-heart kindred spirit and/or a younger 'old soul'!?
You are somehow a life-experienced human with a love of blogging, photography and a keenness to learn more about blockchain and crypto!?
You have a compulsion to share our life experiences for storage on the blockchain for our children and children’s children with musings and memories of lives lived!?
You love to share your plans (or dreams or fantasies) for life beyond formal work, from leisure and travel to second (or third…) careers and hobbies that can supplement pensions and just what keeps “un” working people busy!?
If you can answer most of these points with a yes, it seems that you are already a Silver Blogger at heart and you are definitely welcomed in our community. Right in the middle of this baby called "web 3" and "crypto social". The decentralized future of internet communication.
We Silver Blogger's are all about coming together, about "mature" exchange and creating a community where we meet like-minded humans. It's not about having a silvery name just for the jive at all... nor about precious metals (although), but i'm parroting here! hehe
And if ever you have doubts on some points, it only shows you that you are probably not quite ready to be a Silver Blogger, which is no big deal at all. On Hive you will find a community for every single subject you could ever think of writing about.

Hi @rosz, we are a fun community aimed at the 'more mature' bloggers, the retired/ those close to retirement over 40s, & I think you still have a long way to go before you get there 😉

I'm a bit hesitant because I don't qualify for the first point but you have a lot of little Pacific memories of events of my life when I was a minor.
I barely talk about crypto. Except for the old soul childlike thing I can't remember but as you said at the moment cuz I can't see the screen but I heard I was way old enough
