A funny story today.

Kick off your shoes and come and have a laugh.

Story time and a desperate little Cape Robin-chat needed some help. Let's see if I could do anything about the Robin's problem.

Just a happy post here to get some smiles and we hope that everyone will have a good day. Things are never what they seem and I saw some fun in this situation. We have had a terribly fierce wind here for the week thus far and had a warning that from tomorrow the wind speed will increase to 100 Kph speeds across the Cape province. A wind that can tip big trucks on the highways.
But now, come and have a laugh.

Watch the little Robin in the yellow circle, as he did not look happy at all.
125_li.jpg

So then Robbie the Robin popped up on the log at the right and he said, "Hey Zac, how am I supposed to bath with the 3 chickens up there on the bath, please help mate"?
129.jpg

So I sent one of the terrible twin squirrels to go and clear the bath for Robbie.
014.jpg

The last dove thought that if he sat close by, then he could pop back on the bath again, but the squirrel was waiting for him to try.
019.jpg

Finally the bath was clear and Robbie popped into it.
137.jpg

Robbie had a quick splash.
148.jpg

And then he said, "Thanks mate"
So I said, "Hey Robbie, what's with the mate greeting, as it is not South African"?
Robbie said, "Please don't tell Mrs. Robin as I have a new Australian girlfriend and I am practicing the Aussie lingo mate"
147.jpg

Then Robbie was gone and there was peace in the garden again.

And so it is in our lives, never a dull moment and always something that triggers my funny bone.
Positive thinking has helped me through so many terrible situations in my long life that it forced me to either walk around defeated and moping, or to start laughing at myself and at life.
I have one sister left and she called to tell me that her husband is losing so much weight that she is scared that his pants will drop down in public :)
We hope that you have enjoyed the post.

And That's All Friend!

Thank you!

I have told you about putting water in a case and settle in ifront of the window. I have many times experienced that doves and sparrows get on well each other :)

However, it is not the same with crows or pigeons.

Oh yes they can tolerate each other and you are right as many other bird species can attack each other or other birds.

Thank you for the nice surprise Lady @ewkaw and the @curator Team.

I totally enjoyed it! You got the perfect images for the post and it feels like you can read animals thought. Lol. It's been a great one as all images gave a beautiful picture to the story. I couldn't help but stare and smile at the same time. Its good to bring out positivity in time of trouble, instead if getting bothered and thinking a lot of trivia things, you just get a hold of what you can and make the best experience out of it. I love all those images up there and am forced to ask if those animals are yours?

Thank you for the well written comment and I like to put human thought to the actions of animals and birds, as it helps my stories. Glad that I could get some smiles out of you.
During the times of trouble here, I am the one that everyone comes to for advice, as I have a deep seated calm and positivity in my soul. Most of the time their troubles hide hidden opportunities that they can work on.
No, they are all wild animals that we feed in our garden. We have created a friendship with them, but I don't have any desires to capture any of them. They were all born to be free.

Awesome! I love hanging with people of this characteristics.

Wow! That's lovely. I wish I had such beautiful creatures in my surroundings. It's good you let them have the freedom they deserve. Cheers

Yep and Robbie is a very serious character Lady Joan.
I have been trying to get a smile out of him for more than two years.

My brother in law worked on the mines as an electrician on the control panels. So his lungs are gone and I forget the illness. He is the same age as me, but his health has seriously deteriorated.
So I think that in a way it is all expected.
Sad but true.

Transvaal mining lung ailments are plentiful, some you are able to collect compensation for to assist in treatment. My uncle succumbed to lung ailment from working mines years ago, no cover at the time was offered, he was employed underground for about forty years.

Have a great day!

No compensation for him as he didn't work underground. Imagine that?
One can certainly deduce that by being present in a mining ambient every day will result in some kind of lung damages.
Even people living in mining surrounds are having lung trouble and there is no compensation for them.

But such is life.

Land was raped and then they left with the riches! No cover in early years not having unions, sadly people forget the labourers of yesterday endured a hard life earning a living, some still do except more safety is in play now.

You would remember when the wind blew in a certain direction all that fine powder from mine dumps would end up in the home with everything under thin layer of silt... Many most probably suffer and are none the wiser.

They had to kill first before they could get at the riches Lady Joan and you are right, the workers were regarded as common fodder. Even with the safety now there are still many problems in the mining world. Just imagine working in the coal mines with all of the black dust and soot.

Yes indeed and Rita (My mom) used to complain about sweeping the verandah every day when those winds were around. As boys we used to play on those cyanide laden mine dumps and I collected many hidings. No protection for the people were offered and none ever will.
Such is life.

Hope that your weekend will not be like ours.

People do what is needed to put food on the table, we reminisce about mine dumps, I would like to know how much dirt we live with now, what we breathing in, noise pollution and contaminated water.

Will enjoy the weekend whatever the weather, each day some new surprises one way or another.

Oh, mate, you are such a funny guy - that's one more great fun story, so lovely and positive and well worth a big 😂😂😂 !LOLZ

I can laugh at myself, but I wished I could laugh more at the behaviour of others instead of getting sad or angry ... but I'm learning from you, slowly but I'm getting better and better and in 20 years... 🤣

Thank you kindly Hannes and I am glad that you had some laughs here.
Thank you also for the tokens mate 😘
Now let me tell you that at times my laughter can really get me into trouble Hannes.

I was this guy, about 40ish and dressed in a suit walk down the road in front of some shops. The wind sent a gust his way and his carpet fell off from his head. (Carpet=false hair, toupee).
There he stood with consternation on his face with a bald head and the wind blew his carpet into the road and a car drove over it.
Oh man and Ou Vay, the people in Egypt could hear my shrieks of laughter 🤣🤣🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Believe me, my friend, if I saw such a scene, the Marsians would fly over to ask who is laughing so loud 😂😂😂

Hahaha, afterwards I felt so bad as I should have consoled the poor guy. I could even have offered him my sailors cap that hides the bare cricket field on my head. But then again he would look weird in a suit with an old sailor's cap on his head. More laughter for your Marsians to inspect 🤣🤣🤣

Cheers and thanks.

Haha, I can really imagine his face in my mind and I can tell you I have had a colleague who also didn't have hair, but he used his own hair, which grew long to both sides of his head, and laid it over the head. I don't know what he used to keep the hair in place, but when it was windy the wind often blew this layer a little bit up and a stronger wind blew it completely off - he was looking like a different man and within a second he put the hair back in place 😂

Hahaha, so funny as I have also seen this and when they by chance get wet in the rain, then the hair refuses to stay up and the hair hang down on both sides with the bald head sticking out at the top.
Makes them to look like an old mop. Hey this rhymes. 🤣 Pushing my luck with !LOLZ

Cheers and thanks.

Hahaha, "the bald head sticking out at the top ... looking like an old mop", that's cool and earns one more !LOLZ if there are any left 🤣
