What an enjoyable outing, views far and wide to give one the real feel of the region. Being in forest area with the colour playing with lighting you got some lovely photography there.

Woodpecker you always hear long before you ear trains in to see where they are busy, nice impressive size.

Make me smile, good to recognize the older generation were exceptionally hard working with no mod-cons to distract them....

For those ignorant of Korean culture, the older generation is a hell of a lot tougher than us mascara wearing, K-pop dancing youngers.

Thanks for sharing this hilltop adventure, superb views obtained up there.

I always have a great time when I take walks. It's getting a little too hot now to climb, so I only go out in the evenings and I prefer to stick to the roads after dark.

That's probably one of the larger woodpeckers in Korea. I've seen much larger ones in North America.

Unfortunately, the younger generation isn't the older generation. It makes me worried about the future, but this is probably not a new thought either. People adapt.

Thank you and I hope you have a lovely week!

We still not able to go to parks nor beaches, seeing other regions are always a highlight. Walking after dark has been a problem here for many years I cannot remember when I last went out at night.

When up in the mountains one tends to notice very few of the younger generation take to hiking. For us it was a highlight to go out for day hikes swim in rivers, now relaxing around a pool appears to be more appealing.

Perhaps the stress of modern day living people just prefer to relax where they are, each to their own. Have a terrific weekend, it's Friday!

I throughly enjoyed the climb and the laughs you gave me along the way! What a great post and marvelous photos. I'm so glad you sought out the Woodpecker and shared it with #featheredfriends. I might have missed this delightful post otherwise!

Thank you. I have some videos too, but I'm not much for uploading videos. It's too difficult to get them looking good and I never have a tripod with me. But she was a lot of fun to watch.

I have a few more pictures of various birds I've spotted this year and I should be saving some too. I'm still trying to get a picture of the pheasants I always see in my garden, but boy do they leave in a hurry when they see me and I never have my good camera with me when I visit there.

I do understand about videos! I don't think I have ever posted one.

I'll look forward to seeing more photos of birds from your part of the world!

Wow, amazing nature indeed! I love the shots in the woods, the colours you captures are amazing, and then the view from the top, just wow! BUT, I wonder how use that exercise equipment as how could one still have the energy to exercise after such a hike? The photo of the rice fields is beautiful as well. A very special post @abitcoinskeptic!

Thanks. It was quite amazing when I walked up. The leaves were newer then because it was atill mid-spring.

A lot of that exercise equipment is for core muscles or stretching.

I was trying to find how the rice field fits in. I really like looking at them.

Thanks.

Wow what a tour!

Those shots are so well coloured and immersive it was like going on the hike with you. So much difference between here and there and so much the same. Seems like there is an over abundance of those template apartment buildings.

Awesome stuff again dood.

!BEER

For the most part the trees are the same, or very similar. The climate is more like DC or Virginia.
But you are definitely right, the view from the top is very different. Even Toronto looks nothing like that.

Thanks a lot. Hoping it's outdoor beer weather and you don't need to wear a mask in your backyard!

Hey @abitcoinskeptic, here is a little bit of BEER from @zekepickleman for you. Enjoy it!

That's a great array of colours in your images, particularly love the last one, the perfect imprefection

It's very colorful. I like the subtle differences in the shades of green, too.

I've always liked looking at rice fields. Watching them actually planting it is nea, too. Completelybdifferent equipment than corn or wheat.

Thank you very much ~

This looks like to be a calm and relaxing walk (and nice shots of the bird by the way!).

Thanks. Those little birds are quite difficult to get good shots of, but it's a challenge I like.

When I walk, it is usually with my kids. We are therefore too noisy to be in position of catching any bird at all... ;)

It is really good to get out while it is not too hot. Those woodpeckers are all over the mountains. I like them a lot. We find so many interesting birds this time of year. Every morning a cookoo bird sings in the woods in May but today it was rainy and I didn't hear it. The mountains are teaming with life.

We have cookcoo birds too. I can never seem to spot them, but they sure are loud.

There are lots of birds in the forest, they are just a little harder to notice than large storks standing in the middle of a swamp.

Great post, and beautiful woodpecker!!

Thank you kindly =)
