I first saw flamingos in their natural habitat in Greece, on the coast of the Ionian Sea. Flamingos often choose to winter in this warm country, and in the winter months they can be seen almost anywhere in Greece — on the Ionian Islands (from Corfu to Zakynthos) and on the islands of the Aegean Sea (from Thassos to Rhodes).
