Birds looking for food in the shallow water

in Feathered Friends3 years ago (edited)

There are a lot of waterbirds that live from small insect that can be found in the shallow water of lakes or rivers and often live on the sandbank or the shores. They are looking for these small insects in the sand by pulling their beak through the sand. I really like to watch these birds when they are so close to you that you can nearly touch them. Of course they are still several meters away from you, but whith a lens like the 150-600mm from Sigma you can really get very close to the birds.
