Our Thrushes are nesting!

The first three photos will show you the male Thrush having a late meal. Then I will show you his wife at work.

So in this case the man loafs and the woman does all of the work.
Now I am not going to equate this to human life, as I will have some ladies down my neck, but to me as a man, it looks like an ideal lifestyle.
Just saying 🤣

He is a proud guy and here is his fancy name, "Olive Thrush" (Turdus Oliveaceus).
273.JPG

This was his last berry, as he had to go and do something else.

Here we have his wife and we were so glad to see that she was collecting nesting materials.
223.JPG

She continued to keep an eye out to get what was needed.
224.JPG

And finally it seemed that she had enough.
226.JPG

Oh yes, the male sat at the back giving her advice and supervising.

Remember the Thrush mom with the bald head that I posted before? Well these are her youngsters and they are now nesting here in our big tree. So just like Squirry's clan now lives here, just so the new thrush youngsters have also moved in here now. This is the way of the wild methinks.

And That's All Friends!

Note: All photos are my own and taken with a Canon Powershot SX60HS Bridge camera.

We hope that you enjoyed the story and the pictures.

These men know how it should be, and their wifes know it too 😂

Now there are more lovely birds around your home Zac, I hope they will be friends with Squirry's family 😊

If only that was so in our lives Hannes 🤣

They were born here, so they know the squirrels and so does the two Robins.
And the White eyes and the geese and the crows also don't mind.
Then we have a family of about 20 doves, 2 Rock pigeons and about 15 sparrows.

In fact I will do a post about a brave sparrow today 🙂

Cheers and thanks.

Haha, the bird women don't talk, they sing - our women talk and I think that's the problem 😉

That's almost a little zoo you have at home 🙂

I'm only on my phone today, but maybe later in the evening I will turn the computer on and have a look at some posts 😁

Hahaha, oh yes, you hit the nail on the head, so maybe we must send our women for singing lessons.
Can you imagine when you wake up and Monika sings; "Good morning my beloved husband" 🤣
I think that you will either faint, or go straight back to sleep 🤣

Oh yes, the Papillon zoo and thank you for looking at the posts.

Hope that you guys have a great Friday.

Cheers and thanks.

Oh no, I don't even want to imagine her singing in the morning, although she was singing in a chorus when she was young ;)

Friday is just as any other day - busy working, but I think I will try to get home earlier today. The sun is shining and if it's warm enough I'll go for a ride before it's dark :)

Hope your Friday is great too, my friend 🔆

Strange Marian also used to sing in the church choir, she was even a confirmation teacher, but now she only whispers the songs in church.
Not me of course, as I put on my best Elvis Presley voice and the people in our row of seats start to move away 🤣
Luckily that old lady and her dog is not in our church, else they will go and hide under the priest's frock.

I forget already what I did on Friday Hannes.

Saw here that you put a post together and I will go and have a look.

Cheers and thanks.

They move because they know you need space to shake your hips like Elvis the Pelvis when you sing in the church 😎

I know what I did on Friday - work, work and work more, but in between I have found some time and edited some photos for today's post 😉 T

!PIZZA and !BEER - sounds like a nice dinner :)

Cool photos! It's great to watch the birds build their nests. I have a hole near the balcony, I don't know, probably for ventilation, that's where sparrows always nest. Now they find all sorts of blades of grass and stuff and drag them there.

Oh yeah, it's always interesting to watch the little sparrows and I was recently lucky to see how brave they are. Interesting that they say that sparrows are present in every country in the world, except for the arctic.

Maybe you will see some baby sparrows there in that hole one of these days.
