God as the central axis of the family

Both my husband and I have a great responsibility before God to instruct our children in the way of the Lord. Every family must be clear that their central axis of life is God.

4 Hear, Israel: Jehovah our God, Jehovah is one. 5 And you shall love Jehovah your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your might. 6 And these words that I command you today will be on your heart; 7 and you will repeat them to your children, and you will speak of them being in your house, and walking on the road, and at bedtime, and when you get up. 8 And you shall bind them as a sign upon your hand, and they shall be as frontlets between your eyes; 9 And you shall write them on the posts of your house, and on your doors.
Deuteronomy 6: 4-9 King James Version (RVR1960)

We all have the knowledge that God first manifested Himself to the people of Israel, and it was the strict responsibility of parents to instruct their children in the word of the Lord. Parents were required to speak to their children about who God was to the people of Israel, and likewise they had to teach their children all the mighty deeds that God had done to them since he brought them out of the land of slavery. from Egypt until he brought them into the promised land. They had to speak to them constantly, either while they were at home or outside it, and in the same way when the children went to bed.

God was the central axis in the life of the Hebrew family and in the same way today, God continues to be the central axis of the great Christian family, which is the church.

We have, then, as parents, the great responsibility of instructing our children in the way of God and this will allow our children to grow in the fear and love of God.
